1. The human mind is not something simple to analyze but a good guess would be they suffer from some sort of mental problem. To start off they most probably suffer from an inferiority complex so they need to belittle people in order to feel an inflated sense of self-worth. They may also live a lonely, miserable life so this medium of communication is their whole world which explains why they are always in here. They are also most probably self-centered, self-absorbed individuals who have no respect for anyone cuz they were never taught about social behaviour. That's just touching the surface of my analysis.
2. Ok. Didn't want to try explaining it another way so just asked for clarification.
3. What doesn't make sense? What I said or why they react that way?
4. It's a little more than that for me. They foolishly feel as thought they have immediate solutions for all the problems and could do better than the coaches/manager/gm. They also feel they can do better on the field than the players. They feel they are smarter than the players and may even be jealous that these players who are idiots/morons in their mind yet the players get to live their dream, get paid very well and only work approx. 6 months in the year. The also do not have a clue about the business side of baseball which is a crucial part of managing a baseball team. I have to ask myself who is the real idiot/moron when I see them going overboard attacking the individual rather than the play/move itself.
5. Well that certainly clarified your POV and of course TwistedLogic's and mine.
6. Well that depends on your interpretation of "s***-show". If I am called out in a civil manner for something I posted I usually respond civilly giving a reason for my point of view or backing it up with facts however if someone calls me out in an aggressive manner or attacks me personally rather than the contents of my post then I will respond in kind. The s***-show I was referring to with the Jays losses is the immediate knee-jerk reaction for every misplay/error made as if ball players are supposed to be perfect. To make matters worse their idiotic behaviour is usually followed up with asinine comments such as DFA this player, fire this person, send this person down as if the solution is really a simple matter to resolve. I call that a s***-show and it usually is at the highest when the Jays are losing.
7. Thanks for clearing that up. Now, in my mind, his comment "This place has become a s*** show any time the Jays are losing" clearly refers to a larger scope than just several pages so my agreement was based on that. For some weird reason you felt the need to attempt to minimize my response with a silly "it was totally redundant of you to quote that post just to agree" comment. What made it even sillier is your incorrect interpretation of what was being said. I am not looking for a fight however I will not back away from one if that's what someone is looking for. I try to be clear with my questions and answers and I usually respond accordingly.
8. Your interpretation of "completely civil for a long while now" and mine are definitely not the same especially where it references behaviour when the Jays are losing. In my mind this place sinks to another level (also know as a hit-show) when the are not winning. Even when they are winning there are still some morons who must piss all over the good vibes taking place at the time. I hope I am also not being too redundant by posting more than a "disagree".
9. I was just wondering how much of a difference their performance would reflect home vs away and saw this - nice 40 game split [pre]

G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO SB CS AVG OBP SLG OPS IBB HBP SAC SF TB XBH GDP GO AO GO_AO NP PA

Home 40 1347 209 385 105 14 40 205 143 312 24 7 .286 .354 .474 .828 10 8 4 14 638 159 26 349 345 1.01 6189 1517

Away 40 1411 201 370 70 7 45 195 159 342 38 7 .262 .342 .417 .759 11 18 5 12 589 122 42 380 378 1.01 6516 1606

[/pre] Hope I did this right.
10. The nature of an online forum does not normally support something like what you are looking for. It will need to have clearly defined rules/guidelines while being heavily moderated - Such strict rules can, and most probably will, be seen as a deterrent to passionate discussions. I would like to see less of the personal attacks and the cursing (especially as I am not comfortable opening this forum at work) however I am most probably in the minority and that's not in my control. If someone is too sensitive/thin-skinned for such interactions then they should really stay away from places like these.
11. What a way to highlight your 1,000th post. Why attack the poster rather than the post?
12. I am aware of that but thanks for point it out anyway.
13. The first part I would agree with however Bonifacio will not be with the team too long in my opinion. The jays have a roster jam so if Anthopoulos can come up with Bonifacio as part of a package for a good, relatively young, athletic 2Ber (or some other area where he sees a need) it will be done sooner than you can blink your eye. I still believe he is still all about improving the team as the Jays go forward.
14. It's just in the nature of some of these posters - they will never change. On the other hand, some of the comments do not seem reasonable - bonifacio (at $2.6 million, with arbitration eligibility in '14-'15 and free agency in '15) in my opinion is not considered to be big. The Jays starters on the whole have not been consistent however they appear to be coming around and have made up a lot of ground with their streak so much so that some feel they can get at least the 2nd WC spot. If that is so, why would you want to get rid of him and who do you replace him with? Also, if he is so bad why do you feel anyone would want to take on his contract? With respect to getting bombed for making spelling mistakes that's just the hyena mentality. Also, if someone is a Jays fan and want to make a comment about a Jays player the least that is expected is that they will spell the player's name correctly. Just my take on it.
15. Cabrera has not been fit recently and I believe this has hampered his performance. I believe a healthy Cabrera will outperform Snider but this is only speculation. Anyway, for some unknown reason Gibbons refuses to believe that a few days rest (maybe even a week off of his feet) will be beneficial to not only Cabrera but to the team which leads me to believe there may be more to his "gimpyness" than meets the eye. I would love to hear a reporter ask Gibbons straight out if resting Cabrera for a week or even a few days will not help him to recover quicker and if so, why not just rest him now so as not to compound what seems to the average fan to be an injury
16. If he gets hurt, but not seriously enough to be on the DL, the option of bring Gose up is not feasible in my mind. However if you want to use a DL injury to eliminate Bonifacio's usefulness then the same can be said of Kawasaki in case of an IF injury - just call him back up. Since we will not agree on who will be the best bench player (Bonifacio vs Kawasaki) let's lay this one to rest cuz neither one of us will change the other's mind.
17. http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/692-Munenori-Kawasaki-optioned?p=70209&viewfull=1#post70209 Asset management was just a part of my rebuttal - see link above for additional reason.
18. From my perspective he will be on the bench most of the time which means he can PR and that in itself can become a game changer. Even if you want to say Kawasaki can provide better IF defence from what I think, haven't checked it out cuz I am a tad lazy now, he cannot play the OF (not with that arm anyway) which means Bonifacio becomes more versatile. So yes, we do have different views on their value going forward.
19. Glad to know you were having fun.
20. Not too sure what you are getting at with this statement cuz asset management is a crucial part of baseball operations. It does not have to be the main focal point but it cannot be dismissed entirely. There are always other GMs who will want to take a chance on catching lightening in a bottle especially if they have injuries to deal with therefore it is not in the best interest to needlessly throw away any assets at this point.
21. Kawasaki has been a really nice surprise to say the least while the performances of both Bonifacio and Izturis have been disappointing. Just as the performances of the starting rotation have been bad to start off the season, I believe those two will most probably improve in their respective roles. Kawasaki filled in admirably and his performance was noticed by a lot of people. He will get another chance at this level later in the year - If not with this club then with another. It was most probably a tough decision moreso cuz he was very likeable, showed sound work ethics, and played well however in the best interest of the organization he had to be sent down.
22. I wish I had some insight into Cabrera's true situation cuz on the surface he looks like a wretched old man went it is time to run. I believe his situation is detrimental to winning especially if he is injured and is allowed to stay on the field. I do not believe a few days of DHing will give his hamstring time to recover so I am at a loss why this situation still exists. Has the media or any of the experts asked Gibbons/Anthopoulos to respond to such a question or are they only allowed to ask non-antagonistic, irrelevant questions?
23. You sure got your panties in a knot over this - Try to enjoy some, hopefully, entertaining baseball rather than trying to come across as if you have a crystal ball. Kawasaki and his energetic, playful persona will be missed by a lot of fans however winning ways will overcome that issue soon enough.
24. He did much better than than anyone anticipated however he, from my perspective, is still a light-hitting, weak-armed, IFer who can be sent down without costing the team any assets. The only other viable option was to send Wagner down (looking at it from an asset management perspective) however the BP is currently very strong and that may play an even more important part going forward since the Jays are still not certain what this rotation can do.
