Nobody is running away in the division as yet and I feel we have not really seen what he can do so give him a few more starts - He may still surprise many on here. -

I think it would be amusing if whole sections were to go dressed in white since that would drive those individuals, who really think there is indeed a man in white giving signals, crazy cuz they will be spending their time looking at the men in white rather than the game itself. -
True, however he cannot be absolved from blame here. Neither can Gibbons be let off since it was relatively obvious Loup did not have his stuff and tomorrow is an off day so the BP's usage should not have been an issue.

@Doc, sorry. Jonn here is putting in a very strong effort to take first place as far as making moronic statements even though he says he is only joking in followup posts. Wouldn't it be great to say you are just having fun at the end of the post rather than trying to say that in another post after being called out?

Agreed. It was not even close to say his attention was divided between looking at two players to see who reached first.

CF was playing shallow with Mauer at the plate. Hope there are no over the head shots.

True, it was brutal. However from what I saw before falling asleep the Jays bats were pathetic also. They had opportunities but did not make the most of them. Also there were a few defensive miscues which didn't help the situation either.

6. Our bats did not show up - If they scored 8 runs we could have won this game 7. It would have been a good day for my bobble-head give-away cuz those hitters had my head bobbing thru 5 innings.

Double header with a short bench is a scarey thought for me - What magic will Gibbons do if there is an injury during the 1st game.

I agree. I needed my baseball fix for soooo long cuz of the slow off-season but I will temper that addiction with the knowledge of the current situation. Dickey, more than any other starter, needs to be able to grip the ball properly to be effective and with it being this cold I fear it will not be possible. It will also give the Jays one more day for the injured players to recuperate without losing any ground.

I initially felt Anthopoulos was making an error however since at that time I believed money was not an issue I deducted that it was either an issue with his perceived health going forward or Anthopoulos was having discussions with other GMs and felt something in the works would be better suited for the rotation. If it was the latter, then the timing of the moves most probably could not be synced up so he went with his gut feeling. If it was the former, then he really had no choice and as such would not make this information widely known cuz it would negatively impact Johnson's position. Whatever the scenario, the fans really were grumbling without all the facts even though they commented as if they had insider's information. -

The defensive woes last year were almost everywhere - 3B, 2B, SS, Catcher, and LF. That play by the catcher where he threw erroneously to 3B and the other botched plays for the additional runs was so reminiscent of the Jays defense last year. Hope they got that out of their system now cuz I like what I am seeing defensive-wise from the Jays. The Sierra and Bautista (playing out of position) errors are hopefully little blips.
