I didn't see it that way. What I saw was Hale was doing the windmill from early however DeRosa slowed down when he reached 3B almost as if he felt he would not make it and then changed his mind for a split second and moved towards home before ending up in no-man's land.
Encarnacion is looking so much more athletic this year. Not only was it a really nice catch but he was also able to turn and look at the 1B runner which kept him from advancing,
Cabrera should definitely be taken off the field cuz he will not recover if he has to keep running in the OF and he may even make matters worse healthwise. Also, Cabrera's defence in the OF allows the other team some additional opportunities to reach more bases or getting back into games. Since Lind's and Encarnacion's bats cannot be taken out of the lineup Cabrera either has to DH for a good stretch or be placed on the DL. With respect to DH'ing Cabrera it means the Jays will have to be creative position-wise so that both Lind and Encarnacion can be on the field at the same time.
Are you ragging on Bonifacio again? One error, which by the way was erased with the next batter, overrides everything else he has done so far his game. Some people just cannot relax and enjoy a blowout game.
Just a heads-up. Icouldn't get the "Stylish 1.1" addon to work in Chrome even though I cut and pasted the above code - I would type everything in, click on save but it wouldn't save. Anytime I tried to move away from the page it would say it hasn't been saved. Anyway, I found another addon called "Stylebot" which works well in Chrome - it seems to address the issue of hiding the notification "This message is hidden because ******** is on your ignore list." quite well.
Sorry, thought this was a thread about today's game.
Even good players have difficulty doing that at times yet you have high expectations for Bonifacio to do that?
Request is now granted!
Seriously, give the man some slack. He got a hit previously, stole a base, and was a part of the reason why the Jays were able to tie the score. Also, he has not made an error on the field either yet you feel the need to get on his case.
I thought all the bitching which went on at the other site would have ended or at least be at a bare minimum but that's not the case. It's the same crap where these individuals feel this game is an easy game to play at this level. They even feel they know what the problem is with the players and that the solution is easy - Not sure why they just don't apply for a job in baseball. It's one thing to come on a baseball forum to discuss/participate/share views on the game but when it reaches lows like this it makes it a tad unbearable.
I will be starting soon to put certain individuals on ignore so I won't be subjected to their whiney, childlike behaviour. It is slowly taking away any joy which can be found here in the GDT.
It's really in the board owner's interest to decide on the audience they are hoping to capture while also thinking about the accessibility of the site. Any form of nudity (even cartoons/memes) can be considered porn (soft or otherwise) and there are lots of work environments which will not tolerate this. If any such image shows up on their system (it could be on their screen/display while someone is around who is easily offended) or even appear on their hard drive (temp directories/cache etc.) it could have a negative impact on them. Maybe the number of individuals who frequent the site from their work (or sensitive) environment is relatively small however the default could be set to not show signatures, avatars, and images. In this way they will be aware that changing the defaults can have a negative impact if they are not careful who is around when they are visiting the site.
Anyway, this was meant to be taken as a suggestion and not as an attempt to instill censorship.
You can turn it off. This is one of the reasons I have made these changes in my settings under the thread display options - show signatures, show avatars, and show images are not checked. Some times I have individuals who may appear out of no where and so as not to cause any offence to them these will never be seen - I can live with that.
Just testing this:

Maybe the admin can change the permissions to allow this.
I guess another way is just to enter it as an internet link
I can understand feeling disappointment and reacting to it but I have to agree some of them do go overboard with their reaction. It is almost as if some of them do not realize how much of a difference there is to watching a game on TV as opposed to being at the plate. Watching it on TV the brain has time to digest the fact a ball is going to be in the zone no matter how much movement it had while not taking into consideration the ball is not coming directly at you rather than moving away from you and also simply eliminating the reaction time it will take to swing and connect with the ball.
There is also a failure to recognize, even though a situation may be crucial, that the hitter will not successfully hit the ball safely to score a run the majority of the times. For some, every at-bat must result in something positive or the player will be raked over the coals as if the poster could have done better in the same situation. Granted in some instances it appears as if someone from "AAA" would have been better able to make the play but that's playing the "what-if" game especially since that replacement player could have had a brain-cramp too.
