Gose is lightning fast. It's incredibly to me that a player with his athletic ability/talent can't hit for a decent average in the minors. I understand trying to maximize his value by attempting to get some power out of that swing... but it's failed miserably and he needs to just try to make as much contact as possible.
People love to trash Juan Pierre. He was treated like a superstar in the early 2000s by the mainstream media when he didn't deserve to be, but he carved out a decent offensive career via putting the ball in play and beating out balls. Gose will never have the contact ability that Pierre had but his defense and arm makes up for the gap.
He already shown the ability to draw a walk. If he can just put the ball in play on a regular basis I don't think a consistent .350 OBP would be out of the question.
