  1. Longoria is criminally underrated. If he was in a bigger market he'd be a massive superstar.
  2. It's going to happen eventually... but the Reds are currently a first place team with a great staff. Maybe they don't feel like experimenting with him as a starter right now. Or maybe you're right and they're all f***ing stupid. They have a few holes at 3B and LF. One of those current arms would probably fetch a decent return for them down the stretch if they were to convert Chapman.
  3. I don't see any harm in letting McGowan go 50 pitches in his next outing.. gradually increasing the workload. Perez is the perfect piggy back candidate.
  4. Meanwhile, Synderlaander was promoted to AA as a 20 year old and has been dominant through his first two starts (23K in 18 innings)!
  5. 99% of the voters have no idea what rRC+ is. Machado is basically the new Jeter. Prepare yourself for years and years of over-the-top dramatic stuff when it comes to him. Great, great player but it'll get nauseating after a while. Hopefully he keeps his nose clean.
  6. That's great for Brett Very well deserved.
  7. Lind who gives a f*** if you get gored in the neck with a broken bat.
  8. We can always count on the Twins to turn our fortunes around.
  9. Watch them overpay and turn Castro into a 2B. That's all we need. Another Dominican who can't draw a walk to save his life.
  10. Everyone is thinking the same. Just not politically correct to say it.
  11. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Sell high.
  12. Lind does this every year. Goes on a hot streak and then falls apart. It was different this year because he did it early on and his overall numbers looked ridiculous. If he started off OPSing .600 through the first three months and then had a crazy July, people barely would've discussed it.
  13. Like what are Zaun and Hayhurst supposed to say? JPA is having a good year? Are they just supposed to lie to their viewers? These guys are more insecure than teenage girls. Jesus...
  14. AA knows he has a bunch of mouth breathing egomaniacs on his team.... However, instead of addressing the issue and bringing in talented players with character... he just throws a little vetrin presents at the situation and hopes for the best (DeRosa, Vizquel) It also doesnt help when your supposed "leader" has the worst reputatuon in the bigs among managers and umps for being a massive whiny pussy.
  15. Classy response from Hayhurst!
  16. Amaro probably values Papelbon more than Lee. Probably re-signs him to a big extension.
  17. Pretty much. The Yankees are a disaster right now.. but I think we could at least count on them to pull the plug on some garbage replacement level guy if he got out of line.
  18. I'll give you a few minutes to wipe the vomit off of your keyboard before responding... lol
  19. If someone with the skill level of a Jayson Nix (i.e. JPA equivalent) started chirping on twitter about how he was a #TopTen3B and starting throwing all sorts of notable people under the bus..... he'd get his fair share of criticism from the NY media. JPA is out of control. PULL THE PLUG
  20. They need to fine him and suspend him. The inmates cannot run the asylum. Rasmus got all uppity in STL and boom he's gone. OOPS Cardinals win the WS. We all loved to hate on LaRussa and the Cards, but that org is beautifully run from top to bottom. Nobody is bigger than the team and, for the most part, they all buy in to the high standards that management expects.
