  1. Enough about him being a failed starter and relievers being unpredictable year to year. Loup is indeed awesome in the role he has right now. One of my favourite pitchers on the team to watch.
  2. Possible, but I don't think anyone should see that as a likely outcome.
  3. What about Hech suggests that he "should be a decent hitter"?
  4. Yes, he can start in LF...for whatever team we trade him to.
  5. It's the right time to deal Janssen but I have very little hope of it actually happening. AA plans to contend next year and seems to view a closer as being one of the key players on a roster, so he'll keep him.
  6. Well the bases are loaded, so I guess this inning is over.
  7. Damn Reyes has to be in hell in right now...but he'll be alright.
  8. No, I don't think management is giving up on this current model just yet, and if they did, AA would be a out of a job. They'll do some retooling, probably find an improvement at 2B (or 3B, depending on where this nonsense with Lawrie is going), hopefully make some minor additions to improve the overall depth, and basically just hope for better health and some rebound performances.
  9. Don't take anything seriously until MLBTR picks it up.
  10. The Red Sox are always prepared to pay for relievers it seems.
  11. If there's one hope I have left for this season it's that we bring the Orioles down with us.
  12. Liked that article, very good summary of this season. And I agree that all that's left to do is to retool for next season and hope for better results. Hopefully AA is done acquiring aging, expensive stars and can focus this offseason on filling out the roster with some depth pieces.
  13. If one of them was on the ballot they'd get my vote(s) over Delabar, but it looks like Leyland was dead set on getting another middle reliever.
  14. I approve of these notes. And I fully expect about a dozen articles to be published tomorrow, whining about Puig not winning.
