  1. Remember the mutiny with Cito? If this veteran-laden team had enough of Gibbons we'd know.
  2. If the team had a winning record without the players acquired......the same or pretty close. And really Kev', If ticket sales is their priority over winning this is an even more f***ed up organization than I believed. I'm starting to wonder if the Jays are gonna follow the Marlins build & burn model. If they do, sadly I'll have to turn my allegiances of favourite team over to another team. I can't stand the rapid window of have & have-not. It's a really hollow way to run an organization.
  3. My best guess and what should happen is Osuna isn't pitching in 2014 at any level of ball.
  4. I believe even if the best GM available was hired, Beeston believes he should be and would make himself involved in the Baseball decision making process and he'd f*** things up. Beeston needs to go.
  5. I don't really care who's taken PED's.
  6. Igelsias was coming back to earth with the bat.....kinda like how everyone was all over Didi Gregorious when he came out of the gate ripping and regressed back to what he was in the minors a....minimal power, little speed & little offence......all glove player.
  7. I'm not denying it in regards to my post. His defence is phenomenal....and his snippet of time in Boston at the plate will be way better than he'll ever put up the rest of his MLB career.
  8. And the Tigers were 61-45 before the trade and worse defensively at SS.
  9. Maybe it was due in part to Iglesias hitting like he'll never hit again.
  10. I guess if he cared so much about it, he wouldn't have procrastinated.
  11. This has to be a redraft league.
  12. Prince Fielder's allowed to hit
  13. M.facebook.com/tercet?id=681135192&_rdr This guy^^^^^^^
  14. Has anyone ever been down to watch the LLWS? I'm heading down for the Weekend and was wondering on restaurant recommendations, tips, cool things to see and do. Thanks
  15. The thing I find hilarious is, Jays fans who for years wanted this "all-in" veteran team we have now. Old team, past their prime, cost a f***ing fortune with little financial flexibility (not their money). But for years also bashed the Yankees, Sox & Phillies for doing the exact same thing.
  16. His family thanks you for your concern.
  17. Trouble With the Curve......mmmm no.
  18. It's a good thing we have these metrics to prove a players worth or lackthereof in this case. It's like when Alomar was outted as a below average 2B.
  19. True. But you have to admit you wouldn't be happy if the Jays saddled themselves with stupid contracts and then said....we don't have any more money to spend and were still in need of some pieces.
  20. If you're talking Fantasy trades, some of the offers you were sending out 2 years back were out of this world f***ed up.
  21. Its kind of a mess and some guesses with uncertainty, but pick away. C - Jimenez (LG MIN) (Arencibia traded, see below) 1B - Allen Craig (2.75) (Encarnacion & Bautista traded for Allen Craig, Trevor Rosenthal, Kolten Wong & Carson Kelly) 2B - Kolten Wong (LG MIN) 3B - Lawrie (nm) SS - Reyes (16) LF - Rasmus (arb 3) (Melky traded for ?) CF - Gose (MIN) RF - Choo (6/100) DH (1B) -Morales (Lind bought out) BN© - Thole (1.25) BN(IF) - Kawasaki (MIN) BN-(IF) -Izturis (3) BN-(OF/DH) Pillar SP#1 - Dickey (12) SP#2 - Morrow (8) SP#3 - Buehrle (18) SP#4 - Rosenthal (LG MIN) SP#5 - Hutchison SP#6 Happ SP#7 Romero (7.5) SP#8 Stroman CL - Santos (3.75) BP - McGowan (1.5) BP - Rogers (arb1) BP - Cecil (arb1) BP - Lincoln (arb1) BP - Delabar (nm) BP - Loup (nm) BP- Stilson Total = less than projected with money spent elsewhere. Arencibia traded to the Marlins for prospects SP-Adam Conley & RP-Scott McGough Johnson- offer qualifying offer. If he accepts slot him in the rotation, if he rejects we get the pick Bonifacio traded for ? Janssen traded for ??? ......Stilson promoted. Santos to close, if he fails fallback to a committee until one is found Oliver-trade before August 31,2013 deadline, Davis-trade before August 31, 2013 deadline DeRosa-trade before August 31, 2013 deadline Holes = C, 2B, LF, SP1, SP2 *Jimenez defensively will be raw/rough edges but IMO as he gets more and more reps will short and long term be far better behind the plate than JPA. *Wong's an upgrade over Izturis and is blocked in St.Louis by Carpenter. With Beltran a FA and Taveras more than likely getting the promo in 2014. Bautista would slide into Beltran's vacancy, Taveras into CF if the ankle is healed and Jay to 4th OF. *Marlins currently brutal behind the plate with Brantly and Skipworth and Realmuto not really offensive contributors in any way. *As for SP1 & SP2....difficult to get a 1, a 2 would be nice
  22. They would beg to differ with you.
  23. With them scurrying away they can go back to following the Leafs and leave me room to relax and not be pestered or annoyed with their idiotic behaviour at games.
