  1. Adell yes. Lux lacks power, Ruiz will play 70% of the time, if that.
  2. Damn thats tough. Duran is probably nothing special, maybe Brett Gardner is a reasonable comp. Abrams might be limited, power wise. Witt Jr on the other hand looks like a monster fantasy contributor, multiple cats. I favour the Witt side, but its close.
  3. Yep, that guy just needs health and a strong Japan showing and he'll be back.
  4. BA just came out with their Cubs top 10, PCA is 4th
  5. Ted Williams has a 188 career wRC+, spent three years of his 10+ WAR/year peak fighting in WWII, and no 'roids. Bonds has a 173 career wRC+, with 'roids, juiced ball era. Not saying Williams is better than Bonds, or vice versa, but that no one can conclusively say "this player is the best all time".
  6. I like it, we would never see Grichuk in the lineup.
  7. F'ing Astros would sign the devil if he could play MLB. And they had OF needs in 2020. But no to Puig.
  8. No sticky f'ed Ryu's command
  9. We'll find out by April 2022.
  10. ZIPS today on Matt Boyd Player T Age W L ERA G GS IP H ER HR BB SO FIP Matthew Boyd L 31 9 10 4.39 27 27 149.7 143 73 25 43 163 4.22 If the arm is healthy, a nice target
  11. There will be ways to reduce payroll to fit Vlad and Bo into the budget later. I suspect that at least 1 of them is going to bolt to free agency. Quite unlikely both sign long term extensions.
  12. I don't think AL teams with the DH think anymore in terms of 3 OF and a backup. They think in terms of 4 OF, with duties split amongst them.
  13. Nah, Bundy would get destroyed in ALE as an SP. He's a reliever, spot starter at this point.
  14. Agreed, provided Rodon is healthy. This doesn't have anything to do with the question of whether it would have been better for the Jays to secure Matz' services rather than compete with other teams for what's left in the FA market, or overpay for an SP in a trade. Chisox not qualifying Rodon is a pretty big red flag.
  15. Agree Matz is a 10-12M starter on a multi year deal. On a 1 year deal, that is equivalent to approx. $16M given the higher risk the player is taking.
  16. Seems to be quite a different market this year compared to last. Matz QO or no QO was probably a tough call for the FO. There was always a chance that as the off season plays out, offering the QO would have been better in hindsight. We are looking at guys like Matt Boyd, Kikuchi (on a multi year deal), Lester, Folty on the FA market.
  17. Yep, Matz on a 1 year QO contract would look pretty good right now, even if it is a $2M or so overpay. There are still some reasonable SP options available. But the Jays are competing with probably 20 other teams for those options.
  18. If the Jays are actually pursuing Suzuki, it would be as a Grichuk replacement IMO.
  19. Joe Carter will probably get in at this rate. He's famous. Wearing a Jays hat!
  20. I hope he comes back stronger with the same lean build. Defense matters.
  21. Kepler still available is nuts. .225 BABIP in 2021. He might be a beast for you.
  22. Thumbs up. Sent you Marsh.
  23. Taking picks 2-1 and 2-2
