  1. Bump since things are heating up around here. Have already countered on offers involving Springer.
  2. This would maximize his value, and appears to be how the Jays are approaching it.
  3. One thing about pitching.... a lot of good pitching comes "out of nowhere", far more so than position players. Yes it would be better if the Jays had a few more highly regarded pitching prospects in the top 10, but its not as big a problem as it seems.
  4. Some head scratchers in the back end of the list for sure.
  5. https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/baseball/news/fantasy-baseball-top-100-prospects-for-2022/ CBS has J-Rod 1st, completely agree.
  6. Jays have built a fantastic facility (Dunedin) and a high performance team, it makes sense to focus on these kids. They likely will have more success molding them into big leaguers.
  7. BA has Meza @ #11 Venezuela consistently is home to top international catchers. Diego Cartaya (Dodgers), Francisco Alvarez (Mets), Gabriel Moreno (Blue Jays) and Keibert Ruiz (Nationals) are all Venezuelan catchers who rank as the No. 1 prospects in their organizations. Meza isn't there yet, but like Cartaya and Alvarez were at the same age, Meza is one of the premier catchers this year, projecting to stick behind the plate as one of the better hitters in Venezuela. He has a loose, easy swing with a knack for being on time and strong game performance. He's a high-contact hitter who uses the whole field, with room on his broad-shouldered frame to fill out and drive the ball with more impact as he gets stronger. Meza's catch-and-throw skills are also advanced for his age. Next Jays guy is #49, Jean Carlo Joseph Joseph is a lean, athletic center fielder with advanced outfield instincts for his age. He reads the ball off the bat well, takes good routes already and has a strong arm for 16. Joseph also has a sound swing at the plate with gap power that's trending up as he's starting to get stronger.
  8. Trade block updated. Some nice assets for those looking for a veteran or two, e.g. Goldy / Springer, to give their team a boost.
  9. Fantrax is out to lunch. How do you rank Bichette vs. Franco?
  10. Fair enough, got to grasp the opportunity when it presents itself.
  11. I think Kevin Smith needs some extended time facing MLB pitching to make the adjustment, but I don't think he will get that opportunity with the Jays. I can see him being a MLB average guy after making the adjustment. He does a 144 wRC again at AAA in 2022, he's prime mid season trade bait.
  12. This is uncalled for. What L54 wrote is exactly right.
  13. I just looked at the list, didn't read the article. Forgive me, didn't realize how serious and precise these lists are.
  14. You are doing your very best to make it a political fight.
  15. After Moreno, Orelvis, Hoglund, and Groshans, in that order (tier 1), the next 10 prospects (tier 2) can be ranked in any order really, and you can't say its wrong. The Longenhagen rank of Leo over Groshans is the only head scratcher.
  16. i'm very agist also u overvalue altuve
  17. the league's very own DiPoto
  18. greene won't be up til mid season at earliest, similar to franco
  19. bbdl its the only league connor is competitive in
  20. Got to be Mr. Greene I'm expecting a 30%+ K rate from Greene his first few yrs in MLB, Connor might be a tad disappointed
  21. Ah, so our friend Mr. Grichuk I do not expect the Jays go into the next season with Grichuk as the 4th OF. We know they've been trying to trade him.
  22. Gotta wonder if there is a grand jury looking at this, probable cause Given the sensitivity of the case, it would be smart to use a grand jury
  23. I deal with million dollar construction claims(the largest being $20M), prepare legal briefs / affidavits for arbitrations and references, and work with lawyers on almost a daily basis on litigation matters. You are probably just confused because I fall into the quasi-legal realm.
  24. The horror. The horror. Yes, I watched Apolcalypse Now Redux the other night.
