Surprised he is back for more humiliation. He also abandoned his teams after he turned them to s***, just disappeared, the quitter.
Also, I'm not an attorney, but I do have opinions just as you do.
I can't see that being the case. The union has to ratify any deal by membership vote. While it is true the team reps are mostly older players on FA contracts, they and the negotiating team have to consider the needs of the entire membership, or the ratification may fail.
Possibly, if he didn't care if MLB Network continued to employ him or not. Usually, employees are careful what they say, lest they piss off the bosses.
You really need to stop making everything personal, Spank.
And its not an assumption, its a fact the text messages made public to date do not give consent to anal sex while unconscious or being punched in the face.
No I don't. He most likely doesn't get indicted, and if he does, its very likely he is acquitted. Whether he plays MLB again depends on the facts that come out.
I don't think those text messages give legal consent to being punched in the face or anal sex while unconscious.
I haven't made the assumption you speak of.
This reads like communism. Labour negotiation is capitalism at work. In this case, players capitalizing on their rare skills to maximize $$. Those that don't make the cut get zilch.
Huh? That's completely wrong. The question is whether Bauer acted without consent. This is a he said / she said case that generally result in acquittal, so it essentially hinges on collaboration from other victims that might have come forward.
It's unlikely this is Bauer's first rodeo of such actions.
If you are suggesting she gave consent to be punched in the face and anally penetrated while unconscious, I haven't seen such consent anywhere.
I haven't missed anything. The only things I have said in this threat is his guilt or innocence depends on other victims coming forward, and the longer this goes on, the less likely he pitches in MLB again.
So again, what did I miss and what is wrong with what I have posted here?
MLB Network is owned by MLB Advanced Media, a limited partnership of the MLB club owners. It shouldn't surprise anyone that his contract is not renewed. I'd rather Rosenthal be free to speak his mind, rather than be constrained by his employer.
Nah, if they put out a press release it would be to protect or enhance the corporate bottom line. Not as a "virtue signal", "cancel culture", or any other right wing made up grievance reason.
I can see situations where it would be good for business to explain the reasons why an action (or inaction) is taken. You can term this corporate virtue signalling if you want, I see it as protecting or enhancing the corporate bottom line, period.
