  1. Well, f***ity f***! Colour me pessimistic
  2. Nestor and Yarbrough If the Rays return Yar to a bulk reliever as I think they well, he could be very nice
  3. This will never happen, anyway. These are teenagers and, mostly, kids in their early 20's. I'm sure their thinking is, "give it a try, if it doesn't work, I've got lots of time to move on to something else". Also I expect MiLB is treated as a separate business venture from MLB, and the financial considerations are separate. And the revenue in MiLB is relative peanuts. The recent downsizing of MiLB was likely based on financial considerations - improve margins, reduce number of teams operating at a loss or breaking even. All this is just to say, there is little rationale for increasing MiLB player payroll.
  4. Always figured you for a shameless type And damn it I was hoping Munoz would slip through waivers
  5. The text was a few days before the interview is what I understand.
  6. Ben Hogan is the better comp. Hogan survived a car crash as bad or worse than Tiger's. Head on into a greyhound bus. He was never the same afterwards, but won the Triple Crown 4 yrs later.
  7. In 1998 Woods tied for 8th at the Masters. Nicklaus tied for 6th. He was 58 years old with a bad hip. For sure Woods was tracking to be the best ever, but its not going to happen.
  8. That comment was in 2014 when everyone was sure Woods would take the most majors title.
  9. Nicklaus > Tiger though
  10. Tom Brady GOAT, all sports?

Excellent comeback by the Buds tonight
  12. Well then just to be safe, I reversed the change I made.
  13. OK I made the change, looks like we are good to go now.
  14. I just started building my player queue and Melendez and Miranda cannot be found in the draft room player pool. Probably an issue for others of that ilk as well, ie. not green flagged. Might be a settings matter. Available options are: (1) All, (2) Real Minors (Beta), (3) Fantasy Minors (Beta) Right now we have Real Minors (Beta) selected. I think it should be All?
  15. That's what I thought too. BTS just messing with ya.
  16. You gave them some money, good for you.
  17. Was I defending him? Or commenting on Boxy's attack post?
  18. Dont care..... whats the f***ing point, did it make you feel better to write this?
  19. If Bonds doesn't get in because of his character, that excludes 10-20% of the current MLB'ers from ever getting in the HOF. It's a combination of his character and his being on the leading edge of PED use. It shouldn't matter anyway, and they should instead think about baseball mad kids 50 years from now at the HOF "Where is Barry Bonds?" "Where is Roger Clemens?" Baseball executives and the writers need to get their heads out of their asses and do what's good for the game.
  20. Not sure what is worse, All Star Game voting or HOF voting
  21. All players in good standing with Major League Baseball — as these four are — are eligible to appear on veterans’ committee ballots. There have been many different veterans committees iterations over the years, but at the moment there are four: Today’s Game (1988-present), Modern Baseball (1970-87), Golden Days (1960-79) and Early Baseball (pre-1950). - courtesy of Google
  22. You would think the bonus pool would come out of some pool of shared revenue, tv deals or whatever.
