  1. Death by brain hemorrhage the way Saget died is relatively common, actually. His death was not attributed to covid.
  2. What do you mean, both sides of your mouth. Very little on this earth is black and white, FYI. Hence, stupid to be absolutist in your opinions.
  3. It's an opinion, Spanky. Plenty of people disliked Bauer before this incident, even more will now. Of course some of his teammates won't want anything to do with him. Remember, a heavy majority of Dodgers said they don't want him back on the team.
  4. Even with 200,000 cases a day and 1000-2000 deaths per day, most parts of the the US are dismantling restrictions. Unlikely the pandemic is a consideration of the owners at this point.
  5. lol, no f***s given
  6. Split infinitives are no longer taboo. Gotta keep up with the times, John.
  7. Took Kudrna with the last pick. Will turn out to be the best of them. Good draft boys!
  8. "I do think" which prefaces the sentence, does.
  9. Oh for sure, the unproven tag applies to any prospect. Look at Kelenic's initial struggles last year, and at another level of struggle, Adell. On the other hand, when a player maintains a K rate under 20% in MiLB while being young for level, the risk is a fair bit lesser and usually foretells a MLB quality bat.
  10. You understand the meaning of the word "think". It essentially means opinion.
  11. You didn't make this point in your post. Bryant paid $2.5M to settle the civil suit and issued an apology for his actions. Also what happened 20 years ago is different circumstances and a different time. We will see how MLB handles this. I do think Bauer pitches in MLB again, but he will be tarnished, subject to abuse from fans, and shunned by many teammates.
  12. Are you sure your "facts" are correct?
  13. Almost 20 years ago. Professional sports associations treat these things different now.
  14. Bichette has a bit of a tendency to chase, but can't argue with his results. Is Moreno's chase rate even enough to be a problem? Trust in Shatkins to bring him up at the right time.
  15. Warrants a ban if it's that bad
  16. And I didn't.... see "necessarily"
  17. When a prosecutor decides not to pursue charges, it doesn't necessarily mean laws were not broken, it may simply mean the prospect of conviction is considered low. As you know, people acquitted of crimes are often found civilly liable. The threshold of a conviction (beyond reasonable doubt) is much higher than the threshold for civil liability (balance of probability). MLB likely uses balance of probability as their threshold for a suspension, or possibly even lower given their goal is simply business interest.
  18. I tried to find a fit for Sale, but was difficult, maybe you've got an idea
  19. Bauer is badly tarnished by this, probably blacklisted by a good many teams.
  20. It's overall better than the manual method IMO Commishes doing drops hasn't been much work. The suspending of the waiver process is not really a big deal. I think in the past we put every player in the pool on waivers at draft conclusion for a few days. That might be appropriate here.
  21. Sorry, but you are unable to perform that operation. You cannot make any claims or drops while the draft is in progress. Hmmmm.
  22. This is why I was looking at the order lol
  23. I figured out how to do it, will take a few minutes
