  1. Even less likely, when the emergency catcher is the guy being replaced as well.
  2. Glad to see both JD and JB back in there. Hopefully we can get to Hamels early. Would love to score first (and often!) today. Go Jays!
  3. Yes, I think Texas pulling Gallardo when they did was a good move on their part. They also started the runner a couple of times in key situations that really helped them out. Texas played a good game I think, and deserved the win. In general, playoff baseball is so amazing. The impact of every play so magnified. It's amazing how a seemingly small play like Goins shading to the bag can end up having such a large impact overall. Hopefully we have everybody back today and get out of the gate a bit better this game. Go Jays!
  4. Goins, Pillar coming up. This is where it will turn.
  5. How does Harold Reynolds still have a job doing this?
  6. It will probably be Goins and Pillar that get things started for us.
  7. Can you stream to more than one device at the same time? I'm currently streaming from my work. To be sure I don't have any conflict when I get home, I'm going to shut down my machine completely and then run it over with my car on my way out. That should do it.
  8. Through the app, or the browser? Do you have the landing page, or have they started broadcasting?
  9. Anybody have any issue with MLB.TV? Can't get it to load on my phone or tablet, but looks like it will work through web browser (I've got the landing page up). I've been able to watch the wild card games no problem. I hope there's not a blackout in play.
  10. I hear work conversations going on around me, but nothing is registering with my brain.
  11. I haven't done any actual work since they clinched the division.
  12. And so begins the least productive two days of work of my career.
  13. Starting Price/Stroman in the first two games at least gives you the (better) option of going Price/Stroman in games 4/5 if the need arises (assuming that it's best to have Stroman pitching on regular, rather than short rest). I appreciate what Dickey is and isn't as a pitcher but something doesn't sit right with me if the club is basically saying: "Dickey is in our playoff rotation, depending on the park".
  14. Let's not try to get cute here. Pitch the best starters as much as possible.
  15. If I'm not mistaken, I think the Game 2 starter could start Game 5 on regular rest, whereas the Game 1 starter could start either Game 4 on short rest, or Game 5 with an extra day of rest.
  16. I don't think it's that they don't want it, as much as it is they are not willing to risk the longer term goal to get it. I think the double header + weather really messed things up. Yesterday's game was the real day off, as skipping the back end of the double header wasn't really a resting opportunity per se. As tough as it is to punt two games at this point in the season, I'd rather see the team prepare for the offseason more than anything. Plus it's tough to know what's really going on the clubhouse in terms of Edwin's finger, Donaldson's wrist, etc.
  17. But what arm is he tweeting with?!?
  18. That must have been a fun job with all the wetness.
