    This would be great after seeing Boyd last night. These 2 haven't been talked about much but could be promoted quickly to Buffalo (assuming they start at NH) and serve as SP depth.

    It was the start of a bad 6 months which included the Gomes, Marlins and Mets trades. Here's hoping he can turn Reyes and/or Dickey into a similar return to Saunders. We'll see.

    Sign him to MiL deal. I remember at time of Happ trade many thought the Jays should've gotten him instead of Happ for what they gave up. Well, it turns out Happ was flipped for Saunders so that worked out alright.

    Anyone know where Boyd and Cole will start 2015? I would think NH which could mean a quick promotion to Buffalo with a good start.

    I'd have to see a list of good/bad value/$ moves to get a better idea as to whether he's been great or not. And it depends what fans you're talking about, the ones who think ownership should spend 180M on payroll because they're "the richest owners in MLB"? If it's those fans, then I don't care for their opinions.

    I couldn't care less whether the payroll goes up or down over last year. As long as they get value out of their moves, then it's alright.

    I would've thought that if they were gonna bring up an A-ball starter to the bigs, it would've been Taylor Cole who, IIRC, led the minors in K's. I would think he'd get a bump in velocity from the pen. Oh well...

    It would make more sense for a team that lost its best SP and is trying to win this year, to have them start the year at AA and promote them to Buffalo if they get off to a strong start. Then they'd provide sorely-lacking SP depth.

    Losing Stroman was huge, imagine no Halladay. Team had an Ace, but hey such is life. What the heck, ElNik ain'g going down without a fight... 88 for the playoffs!!!

    Don't agree at all with Osuna (and/or Castro) making the team and it makes me lose some respect for AA and Gibbons as I think they're trying to save their jobs (esp. AA). Maybe ownership should've given AA a 1 year extension, it's not like he makes that much money. We'll see what happens.

    What a blow that Stroman injury was. This team would be looking even better with Norris's emergence (I know only ST) and Stroman in the rotation. Oh well...at least he'll get his degree.

    What's puke-worthy is to see so many bashing the RS, did you not learn a thing leading up to the 2013 season? Red Sox are now guaranteed to win the WS.

    Gibbons loves Navarro, he's gone as far as to call him "the best pure hitter on the team". Now, it may just be asset management so we'll have to wait and see.

    Just make sure you don't procure any under-age hookers for Stewart since getting him hookers is likely to be your duty.

    Not sure, but it seems you're implying that Cito Gaston was not a great manager, nice try, but try again.

    Delabar was also upset about being demoted last season so I take his comments with a grain, or 2, of salt. Bigger issue is the roster...again! And yes, the Castro and Osuna promos are dumb. I hope they're about to trade Navarro for some decent reliever.

    We were also sure AA would blow what little budget he had on BP arms this off season. We also never thought the team would sign Martin and/or trade for Donaldson. We also thought the franchise would be in really bad shape by this season. Wrong, wrong wrong. I fully admit that I picked the 2013 team to win 90 games.
