  1. What a joke, I stayed up for this garbage? Well, I know, can't expect more from this franchise. At least they only lose by one most games.
  2. Even the Astros can win more than 5 in a row, but not the Blue Jays baby!
  3. I'm hoping this is what they do, but they don't seem to prioritize defense much and this starting rotation needs all the help it can get.
  4. Giants stunk it up defensively at RC, Blue Jays returning the favor it seems, except that this has gone on all year. On the other hand, we knew they were giving up D by playing EE at 3B and Bonifiasco/Izturis stink so no one can accuse this team of prioritizing defense.
  5. Did Rogers get injured? He only threw 28 pitches, so what was the point of not pinch-hitting for him? Who cares, season's over anyway.
  6. Given how much better Rasmus is swinging the bat, there really is no excuse anymore for JPA hitting ahead of him. If Gibbons is worried about having 2 lefties in a row, he should switch Encarnacion and Lind to keep the right, left thing going.
  7. Rasmus has been going up the middle and towards left-centre lately, that's good to see.
  8. Bautista+AA+Beeston for Profar+Daniels seems like a fair trade to me.
  9. I'll believe it's not serious if he's back starting soon given all the 'minor' injuries that turn into month long DL stints with the big league club.
  10. Josh Johnson should be gone, but health permitting, Hutchison should be part of the plans to replace him. Drabek could be in AAA as depth, although I wouldn't count on him, he was pretty bad before the injury. Nolin and Stroman, if he pans out as a starter, could also be in AAA to start the year as depth as well. So at least depth would be in better shape. The top of the rotation would still be iffy. Like you say, Dickey may never pitch like an ace again and Morrow is unreliable, but I don't see them realistically getting anyone better so it would be Dickey, Morrow, Buehrle, Hutchison and Happ unless RR figures things out. So basically, I don't think much can be done unless they're able to make trades, hopefully for younger pitchers with upside.
  11. My guess is 4-3 in 22 innings and more roster maneuvering tomorrow.
  12. Imagine how pissed we'll all be when RR gets released signs with the Rays and throws a PG against the Jays!!!
  13. Cabrera's bat looked as low as he runs last night, I think it's more about giving Cabrera a day off than anything else.
  14. I've been wondering as well, then I read that AA said that he was feeling great and they're just being cautious and I am now worried and expecting the worst.
  15. Zaun was for all the moves made in the offseason. He loved both trades so I don't really think he's that smart.
  16. AA should not be allowed to start again with a fresh young team, didn't he already get the chance to do exactly this and blow it? Why give him another 2-3 years to see if he learned from his mistakes? Even though they look like they're in MiLB, this is MLB and he and/or Beeston made the decision to give up on the long term plan AA was selling since he took over to go 'ALL IN' with this group, AA and Beeston need to pay the price for these decisions. You can say it was bad luck or whatever, but this is the way it works, fire them both now before they do any more damage.
  17. Even though we all want to see Stroman pitch well as a starter, struggling in his last start was a blessing in plain sight as it probably took him out of consideration to be called up. The season is over, not only were they not ready to start the season as they spent ST helping Rogers to build the hype, but the injury-prone guys have all gone down, unsurprisingly, and the supposed ace of the staff has pitched like a bum, as much as it pains me to say it. Time for Beeston to be fired and whomever comes in to embarrass AA by taking all decision-making out of his inept hands and letting him greet fans at the stadium entrance.
  18. I don't think anyone could've foreseen him pitching this badly, even those of us who were against the trade. It's also hard to see him struggle as he's such a likeable human being. He just hasn't thrown the hard knuckler all season.
