  1. How many shutouts does this one make for the season?
  2. Yup. It's nice to have Nolin and Stroman as depth. The way Norris is going, he could be in AA with Sanchez by mid-season.
  3. If the Jays score a few runs today, the dynamic duo will say it was because of Reyes's return, even if he goes 0-for the game, you know just his presence.
  4. I'd prefer Rasmus hitting 5th and Navarro 6th. I've also been thinking of Rasmus hitting 2nd and Cabrera 5th.
  5. Francisco will be DFA'ed when Lind is back? I guess they'll still have Dan Johnson in Buffalo in case they need him.
  6. So Navarro is in there again today after a night game. It just reinforces that having a knuckleballer comes with baggage or dead weight unless your starting catcher is able to catch the knuckler. Nothing against Dickey really. It is what it is.
  7. And you have gone to another extreme. Can't we find a middle ground, he's a good reliever, how's that?
  8. No big deal bro. There should probably be a prospects thread on the main forum, but the powers that be have a separate subforum for prospects.
  9. Wrong thread, but he should really be in Dunedin and Boyd, who pitches today, should be in AA. Hopefully, they promote both soon.
  10. Well, that was tied to my comment saying I thought the Indians could chase him early today. He's certainly a workhorse, no doubt about it. I just think he might be due for an early exit and it could be today. I certainly hope I'm wrong, a good season from Buehrle would be great not only for this year's chances of contending, but also for next off season's chances of trading him and a large chunk of his contract.
  11. Yeah, no doubt, I was just commenting on other choices as closer instead of Santos. Cecil is one of those, but I think Gibby likes to have both lefties for the middle and late innings. I actually thought Gibbons would bring in Loup when he went to visit Santos at the mound last night. He was probably not available.
  12. Big assumption on Buehrle. I think Indians could chase him early, we'll see what happens. If they split the next 2, I'd be satisfied with the road trip despite the series loss in Minny.
  13. Good night for Norris, Sanchez, Graveman and Hendricks at AAA. Today, it's Nolin, Jenkins, McGuire, Boyd and Robson. If Boyd has another good start, they should promote him to AA. He's an older college draftee and has dominated since last year. I don't see why he should be kept at A-ball any longer, push him, I say.
  14. No doubt fastball is a big key to his success. There's really not much of a better choice. Delabar's been throwing 91-92 lately and has been wild. I think they want Cecil available for tough LHH. We'll see what happens.
  15. DH Reyes today and play Goins at 2B and Diaz at SS? Buehrle needs all the defensive help he can get and this would give him optimal defense. They can start Reyes tomorrow with Morrow on the mound who's more of a flyball pitcher.
  16. Looked good, love watching him pitch. If I had my druthers, this rotation would have Hutchison, Stroman and Nolin by June, but that's just me. Getting back to Hutch, he got unlucky in the 6th inning 'cause Kipnis got on base for Santana's homer on an IF single that bounced high off the plate. Absent that IF hit, things could've been different as he may have pitched Santana differently. One thing he needs to improve is the pitch count, but tonight it was partly 'cause of the strikeouts and one long AB by Murphy.
  17. Pretty good night all around for the farm in terms of pitching. Sanchez went 6IP, 4H, 2BB, 6K. Norris went 4 scoreless also, He's pitched 20 innings at Dunedin and allowed like 2ER so far.
  18. There are tons of tense, 9th inning situations in baseball, it's part of the game. Cecil put 2 guys on in the 7th and got out of it. It's part of the game. To answer your question, maybe I am, not really sure.
