  1. Para de llorar! hahaha.
  2. I don't know, but it's a little late in the game to be whining about a retractable roof in Minny, it is what it is. There were games postponed in Baltimore, NY, Philly and Detroit yesterday.
  3. Yeah, that he only got $8M and that option is a dead giveaway.
  4. For sure, I was just referring to Lawrie in particular. Those 2 errors by the Baltimore 3B on Friday also brought back memories, if one can call them that, of last year's disaster. No doubt, if Rasmus is out for the Cleveland series, Gose needs to be called up.
  5. We also don't know for sure how much $ they had available. We know they offered 14M to Santana, but there's talk of asking players to defer some salary to be able to afford it, unless I'm mistaken....it's been known to happen!
  6. That's part of what I've been saying, he clearly wanted to play in the NL if the chance came up. Anyway, hopefully some luck strikes the Jays on the rotation front.
  7. LOL, I don't, but I can see Happ using that as them promising him a starting gig.
  8. Yes, he lost, no doubt. However, the attempt was made. You said it was a fish they should've caught before and I pointed out that it may not have been possible since Santana's demands came down only around 5 days before he signed and the Jays were right there.
  9. I'm referring to what the team said early in ST when they said "he's a big part of what we're trying to do here" or something to that effect. That doesn't help a guy realize he's s*** is all I'm saying.
  10. Let's face it, it doesn't help when the team says he's a big part of what they're trying to do.
  11. I agree with you, Melky would've likely played that ball much better than Bautista did. If Rasmus is out for longer, they should really call up Gose.
  12. I already said I agree on the Bautista play, but not on the Sierra play. That was a long flyball off the right-centre field wall with 2 outs, the runner would've likely scored from first. The Bautista play changed the situation, but Morrow was wild the whole game. I agree that a runner on 1st is much different than a runner on 3rd. Anyway...
  13. If he pitches well, either the Jays will have a need or another team will trade for him...I hope.
  14. PIT, KC and ATL gave up on this guy also. I'm sure the Braves could use him now with the injuries to their rotation. The Royals have Bruce Chen starting, I think they could use him. Who knows, but I wish him well, I hope he's as good as he's pitching, but let's face it, he didn't even start a game for the A's last season. Anyway....
  15. Again, you can't say they led to those 2 runs. Anyway, it is what it is.
  16. That's true, but not the ball off the wall as the runner was going on contact with 2 outs. There's no way that would've been a single, that was off the wall in right-centre field, not straight away RF. Anyway, no doubt that's a bad OF, but I don't think you can say it cost the team 2 runs.
  17. Ditto. All teams face issues when their regulars get injured, not just the Jays. Better to be surprised than disappointed I say so I've psyched myself to not expect much and enjoy the season and so far, the defense has been terrific which helps the pitching quite a bit and the offense will come around.
  18. Don't think I agree that the OF cost the team 2 runs. Colabello's blast was with 2 outs so the runner was going and would've scored anyway. They MAY have had a chance at home if Sierra hadn't mishandled the ball off teh wall, but it wasn't an easy bounce and I as said, they may or may not have gotten the runner. Bautista's bad route to the ball turned that into extra bases, but remember, even if Bautista had played that correctly and kept it to a single, Morrow walked the next batter and gave up a single to Mauer so Florimon probably would've scored from 2nd regardless.
  19. And defense. Let's not forget the shitshow we saw last year at 3B when he was injured. He saved a run last night.
  20. Great to see Lawrie yanking home runs in back to back games.
  21. Except that you're forgetting that Santana only decided to lower his demands to a 1-year deal around March 7th and he signed with the Braves on March 12th.
  22. Not to mention all the whining about the lack of depth. It's not like other teams are loaded with all stars as back ups. Even the mighty Yankees have Dean Anna starting at SS. I watched Alfonso Soriano botch 2 balls in RF over the weekend. They had a catcher playing 1B for the injured Teixeira and this is a team with a 200M payroll. And yes, the team needs a better bench, but no f***ing team can withstand multiple regulars out injured without looking like it has no depth.
  23. I tend to suspect the same, but like you said, who knows?
  24. This is true. The market spoke and said 8M is what he was worth. I believe there's also an option that vests if he makes less than 7 starts in 2014, but I don't know how much it's for. Looks like even less than 8M per year to me.
