  1. D. J. Davis tonight: 3-4, HR, BB. He's raised his BA by .040 the last few days.
  2. Same thing keeps happening to Dickey in the 6th/7th inning and Gibbons keeps giving him a long leash, sounds like insanity to me.
  3. It's certainly nice not to have to win the last game to avoid a sweep for a change.
  4. Sanchez, Norris+ for Shark anyone?
  5. Back to square one for this team, get used to it, it'll be back and forth to .500. It would be nice if they went up 3-4 games over to tease us at least.
  6. He would also prove them right for drafting him. Overpaid, no doubt, but they deserve credit for guys like this, Nicolino and Syndergaard. I certainly wish they hadn't gone all in, but it is what it is.
  7. I know, neither is Nolin, but you also need back of the rotation and depth starters, especially cheap. I shouldn't have lumped him with the other guys no doubt.
  8. LOL. Imagine if AA hadn't used his brain and kept Syndergaard and Nicolino. You'd have these 2 plus Stroman, Sanchez and Norris. Oh and soon Norris will catch up to Sanchez at AA. I'd like to dream big on Sanchez, but can't get past his performance. I'll keep StroShow.
  9. He's what he's getting paid. The team's GM said they overpaid to sign him, that should tell you something.
  10. I don't even know what the arguing is all about. Fact is that Rasmus may go on the DL and Gose had better be called up to play CF even if Rasmus is only out for a few days. I guess some people would rather see Bautista or Cabrera in CF in Rasmus's absence. Rasmus and Cabrera are FA at the end of the season and this team can't afford to keep both so I think they'll keep Cabrera and likely go with a Gose/Pillar or Mastroianni platoon in CF. I don't mind that OF as long as they improve 2B, the bench and the rotation.
  11. So Reyes came back, but Lind went down with back pain. Lind came back, but Lawrie missed 5 games with a sore back. Lawrie came back today, but Rasmus goes down with a tight hamstring...lol, the team will never be fully healthy. Oh and Navarro missed time with a sore quad muscle.
  12. At least we'll find out if all those balls over Rasmus's head were his fault.
  13. So I hadn't noticed the Cards are hovering around .500. Apparently, they're not being "clutch" this year.
  14. I want BOTH Gose and Mastro/Pillar. won't happen though, it'll probably be Pompey to ruin his development.
  15. Man, Texeira can't run much, he just hit a ball to the RF corner and could only get a single out of it. He might be slower than Navarro right now.
  16. Start the Gose/Pillar platoon.
  17. I'm pretty sure Diaz didn't get a good grip on the ball during that DP attempt.
  18. I can't believe Delabar threw a fastball to Trout, didn't he watch Stroman get beat on one yesterday? Luckily, he didn't throw it over the middle of the plate.
  19. Bannable offence on multiple grounds: 1. Racist. 2. Jinxer. 3. Dominican.
  20. LOL, yup, that's my point. Hutchison had a bad start today and Stroman's fastball was running into the middle of the plate, it happens. They have serious issues with issuing BB as a staff, but Hutchison is not one of those, today he just didn't have it, period. I speculated (out of my behind of course), that throwing 110 pitches or so in his last start may have affected him today, but it's just speculation.
  21. So who do we blame for Happ's bad start, Kratz? I mean, this blaming catchers stupidity has to stop. Pitchers miss their spots, when they miss over the middle of the plate too often, they get pummeled, that's what happened to Stroman. Hutchison missed out of the strike zone, so he threw a lot of pitches and walked 4 guys. Not saying Navarro is the greatest catcher out there, but this team's pitchers have major control issues.
  22. More good news for the Jays: The Rangers have pushed back Yu Darvish's next start by 2 days, from Wednesday against Houston to Friday against the Jays figuring a win vs the Astros is less likely than vs the Blue Jays.
  23. I was actually worried about Hutchison coming into this start because of the 110 or so pitches he threw against Philly last Tuesday. He was actually throwing harder in his final inning than earlier in the game and I thought he was overthrowing. I'm probably wrong, but I think he may have been feeling the effects. Anyway, at least we should be closer to a house-cleaning with a loss tomorrow.
  24. Looks like my prediction is coming true. The team just looks like crap, with a few exceptions. Bats have looked slow all 3 games and we know their pitching is iffy at best.
