    This game's not on Gibbons, but his bullpen management continues to be suspect. I'm not sure Santos should've gone out for the 7th, but he certainly should've been taken out after the IBB to Pujols. He was approaching 30 pitches and it would've given Delabar a little bit of wiggle room, especially since everyone but Gibbons knows he struggles with command. Arguably, it should've been Cecil coming in, but I can live with bringing in Delabar. The offense certainly didn't have a good game, but they were facing a tough pitcher in Richards and that idiot Hernandez certainly didn't help matters calling strikes 6 inches off the outside corner to left-handed hitters. Anyway, a split would be good.

    Yeah, although I get that Happ's value was basically at 0 and they may be hoping to trade him and not have to eat his $. On the other hand, they should've just left Stroman at Buffalo pitching every 5th day. Anyway, we'll have to wait and see what happens.

    This is where I have a problem with the move to the bullpen. I don't know how this helps. The more short outings he has, the farther away from starting he gets. Anyway, we'll have to wait and see.

    So at what point do the Blue Jays end up "shrinking" Stroman's pitch counts to the point where he would need to be stretched out again? I really don't like this idea of him pitching 1 inning here another inning there. Like tonight, I would've preferred that he finish the game. Anyway...

    This means Santiago will pitch on Monday against the Jays since it's a 4-game series.

    The Jays won't bench their big FA signing in favour of Kratz, take it to the bank. Now every one likes Thole because he's hitting over .300 in his few AB's. Navarro actually "outframed" Ruiz tonight if you paid attention to the game. Buehrle got some calls that Lee didn't. Umps are idiots, it is what it is. Not saying Navarro is this great catcher, but he's not the terrible catcher some are making him out to be. Buehrle and Hutchison have been fine with Navarro catching them. Anyway...

    No big deal, but I don't think I've played 20 times this season. I think there's some kind of mistake.

    LOL, the whole East is bunched up together. Time to sleep, but wanted to mention that Hutchison threw some of his hardest pitches in the 8th inning, I hope he wasn't overthrowing.

    He's given up 14 hits in his 2 starts, but only walked 1 and struck out 11. Some good signs for sure.

    Great win and actually a pretty good road trip given the 3 blown games. Gotta give the team credit for showing some resiliency after pissing 3 wins away out of the first 5 games on the trip. Kudos.

    If it had been Navarro catching tonight some people would be all over his pitch calling against Mayberry, that's all I'm gonna say.

    +3 in run differential now, only AL East team in the black. If they stick with it and AA grows a brain, good things could come their way.

    Even yesteray. Cecil pitched an inning and 1/3 in a 7-2 ball game.
