  1. You could say the same about Kluber. And Keuchel. No real reason to think all three aren't legit aces at this point. Things change.
  2. I think that's a pretty weak offer. Hoffman and Norris are showing huge red flags right now. I imagine that Cleveland probably wanted Stroman or Travis as the centerpiece, and then a prospect or two added. They have no real reason to move Carrasco now, so they'd have to be blown away.
  3. Are you in here arguing that Stroman is not significantly less valuable than Carrasco?
  4. Of course you'd send Stroman the other way. The point of contention is what other players they'd want.
  5. Cleveland is generally a pretty good org. If they're trading Carrasco it's probably going to be for a huge haul.
  6. Gross. The two cheapest, youngest years of the deal are burnt. The Reds can f*** off.
  7. Wow, does Mike Montgomery ever suck.
  8. It's the same thing every year. People look at the standings in May/June/July when they should just be focusing on the team's record. It doesn't matter that the team is only 3 games out on June 23rd, because this division is five big boy teams (well, four and Toronto) and one of them is going to win 90 or damn close to it.
  9. Remember how everyone mocked New York's rotation before the season?
  10. Lynn and a 2nd for Trumbo Archer for a 1st Liriano and junk for Headley and junk Those three look like complete lost causes. A few others could end up very bad, but have a chance to swing back close to even.
  11. Reds down 4-1 in the 5th with 1 out and Billy Hamilton on first, and Votto bunts him to 2nd.
  12. I'm assuming nobody wants Cody Anderson?
  13. Ugh, this is a 20-team league. An unproven reliever with decent but not great projections is the definition of replacement level. That's not a shot at you or him, he's just not materially better than other relievers on the waiver wire.
  14. Why would we care about the opinions of a guy that lives in a mud hut and has relations with livestock?
  15. Well projections have Vizcaino at barely a 2:1 K/BB and an ERA close to 4. He'd have to be racking up saves to have value with those peripherals. Jeffress might be a bit above replacement, but if he's better than guys like Loup or Baez, it isn't by much.
  16. They're both replacement level in this league. Vizcaino maybe worse.
  17. Omar Infante just took him yard lol
  18. I think Cody Anderson's voodoo has probably worn off.
  19. I've traded for 4 of my 6 relievers lol.
  20. Bullpens are underrated. I've had a top-4 staff despite having only 3 starters that haven't sucked balls.
  21. Maybe like a Santiago Casilla type, with a firm job but not elite numbers.
  22. I just meant in general I don't think most teams consult their analytics departments at all.
