I'm definitely in for doing something, just not at significant long-term cost for a rental. Hamels would be awesome. Edwin for a pitcher could make sense. Fiers. Gerardo Parra might come surprisingly cheap.
I feel like Tyson Ross isn't the kind of pitcher to make a significant commitment to. Two straight years with a declining fastball velo and awful mechanics that result in awful control and make him a huge injury risk. I'd be all over him as a free agent on a short term deal, but I'm definitely not moving top assets for him.
Welp, I was planning on trolling Ang ITT, but I see now that it won't be possible to troll him without also trolling a bunch of other people, so I'll just bail out.
Anyone who's watched the Giants in the past has seen him hit monster fly balls to the opposite field with a lot more regularity than you'd expect from a guy with his numbers. He's always had pop. I can definitely buy a change in approach that has allowed him to get more out of a tool that has always been there.
