  1. Storen should be pretty embarrassed about this.
  2. Still willing to move Robertson for a top prospect. Have had multiple inquiries and some close deals, but nothing final yet.
  3. I could see a big trade with Milwaukee. Parra, Fiers, and K-Rod all seem like AA targets.
  4. People said the same about Wells because he was very laid back. "Wells doesn't try" "Wells doesn't care".
  5. Yes. See: Jose Reyes sucks at baseball thread.
  6. The team wasn't trading for 2010-2012 Reyes. They were trading for slightly past his prime Reyes. The Reyes they got averaged about 3.4 fWAR/150 in his age 30-32 seasons, and missed a bit more time to injury than we would have liked. That's literally exactly what anyone would have reasonably expected from him.
  7. That comment doesn't make sense. The nature of his skill set was that his weakness were loud (obvious throwing errors) and his biggest strengths (baserunning and being about 25% above average offensively for a shortstop) were more subtle. He was a very good player here.
  8. Pretty much exactly what we all could have expected. Played in 305 games (72% of the team's games), racked up 6.7 fWAR, and was generally pretty exciting, especially in 2013. All in all, above-average play from short for ~40 million over 2.5 years at ~$6M/ WAR. If he were a free agent signing and not a trade acquisition I think people would have loved him.
  9. In 2017 those three players will have an average age over 32 and cost $60M.
  10. That's a bad loss. At home to the worst team in baseball with some random scrub on the mound.
  11. Bautista 4/80 or 5/100. Not sure on Edwin. If he stays in the 110-120 wRC+ range probably like 2/30. V-Mart's deal sets the market for Bautista.
  12. King, PM me so we can discuss compensation for tanking FTD's season. I'm looking forward to working with you.
  13. I don't even want to know what Quintana would cost. Stroman+? Norris + Pompey + Alford?
  14. Not close at all.
  15. Right. Forgot about that. They also made a killing on the Holliday trade. And I guess they traded Fowler for Lyles. Very few big deals over the years though. They really keep to themselves.
  16. If Harvey were being offered for Tulo he'd be a met right now.
  17. I was trying to think back on big trades the Rockies have made and realized that they don't really ever make any. What a weird org.
  18. It will be very interesting to see what happens with Reyes. If they can even dump him for nothing, backing out of the Tulo contract and picking up Hoffman, Castro, and Tinoco is a pretty safe move for a team going nowhere in the near future. I imagine they might eat cash to move him though.
  19. I've never called it a bad deal. I just don't think it's the slam dunk win a lot of people seem to think it is.
  20. Yeah. Colorado obviously isn't buying Tulo's zips projections. And they're more familiar than anyone with his medical status.
