  1. You're AA. It's July 2016. You're evaluating what kind of value Troy Tulowitzki's contract holds to the team relative to what his projected performance is... And Jose Reyes figures into that discussion?
  2. All I'm asking is basic reading comprehension and common sense. If you can't understand that Reyes is completely irrelevant in a discussion about the asset value of Troy Tulowitzki's contract in 2016, you shouldn't be posting here.
  3. Do we know his offensive performance has nothing to do with the a use his body has taken though? Present day Tulo is the product of his history, and that's in his history. He could very well rebound and be fine, but I'm really not keen on making $100M commitments to players on their 30s, especially with a long injury history. Those deals just end badly too often.
  4. Holy f***. I'm talking about the value of the contract in 2016 and beyond, not evaluating the decision made to acquire it. Those are two distinct discussions.
  5. This doesn't make sense. The discussion is about Tulo as an asset going forward, not the trade that was made to acquire him. For obvious reasons, Reyes no longer has anything to do with the value you attach to Tulo as an asset.
  6. Reyes has nothing whatsoever to do with anything I've said in this thread.
  7. Would you give free agent Tulo $100M right now for his age-31-35 seasons? I think of he's not currently a Blue Jay that poll goes something like 50/50 on this forum.
  8. You've seen his fantasy record...
  9. Too early for this, but Tulo is like 3 months away from 'I'd give that contract away for nothing' territory.
  10. JFaS and frangraphs projection tool IIRC.
  11. Any chance someone claims Fister and keeps him?
  12. Looking for validation even though you're possibly 3 days from the finals SMH.
  13. Can't really complain. I've claimed four guys since the playoffs started.
  14. Damn, I guess I can cancel my claim.
  15. The Rays could be dangerous again as soon as next year. Archer, Cobb, Odorizzi, Smyly are an elite top-4, and that leaves Karns, Ramirez, Andriese Colome, Moore and Guerrieri as depth. The foundation of the position players is Forsythe, Kiermaier, Longoria, and Souza, who should all be above average. Guyer, Casali, and Jaso should all be nice pieces too. Something like: C - Casali 1B - Jaso 2B - Forsythe 3B - Longoria SS - ?? CF - Kiermaier RF - Souza LF - Guyer Archer Cobb Smyly Odorizzi 5th guy If they can spin a few extra arms into a shortstop, second catcher, and platoon partners for Guyer and Jaso, there's 85+ win potential there. Unfortunately the terrible payroll means everything will have to go right for them to add the ~4 pieces they need, and any serious long term injuries will sink them.
  16. Well 1. and 2. are obviously true, I was just wondering what I could have possibly said to have me pegged as a Trump supporter.

  18. I can't tell if this means you run a rink or cook meth.
  19. Please don't allow jaysblue to go to the finals. Thx.
  20. I've killed people for less than this.
  21. Bragging about success in a league where expansion teams make the playoffs SMH.
