    Still can’t believe the Yankees took an elite 3B defender with a noodle bat and started him almost 100 times in the most, more than half those on a corner.

    There is a 0% chance the team is saying "well f***, it turns out we can get Chapman or Bellinger but unfortunately we're spending 3% of our budget on Isaiah Kiner-Falefa so we'll have to pass". It's absurd to even entertain the possibility that this is happening.

    I guess there are two different complaints: IKF likely being the primary 3B IKF getting 7.5M a year The first is a legitimate concern for a contending team, but there are a lot of 3B options to throw at the wall if he doesn't look good. The second is silly. 7.5M on, say, a luxury bench piece the team thinks is highly likely to give them 1-2 WAR while playing multiple positions is not a problem. That's middle reliever money. Attaching Otto Lopez to any of these complaints is just weird. You don't want Otto Lopez on your 40-man roster.

    People are actually upset about losing a 25-year old out-of-options infielder with a wRC+ of 65 at AAA last year? This is what you want - a team with the 40-man roster depth that makes it impossible to carry Otto Lopezes.

    Pitchers and catchers report this week and there are still like 30 clear cut MLB players available, and a handful of stars. I wonder if there's anything MLB can do to stop having the worst offseason in professional sports.

    Fangraphs has added ST stats to their dashboards. They show up by default. Someone needs to be fired over this

    Especially because the expected reward gets smaller every year. If nobody wanted 32 or 33-year old Bauer, they're probably not going to want him next year at 34.

    Gausman Berrios Bassitt Kikuchi Manoah ----- White (will be in the MLB pen) Rodriguez (probably in AAA if everyone is healthy) Francis (AAA) Parsons probably the 9th guy up for starts as things stand. But if they need more than a spot start or two, Tiedemann probably is probably just added to the roster and given a shot.

    Hader has taken so much s*** for this from fans, but he's right. Imagine busting your ass with elite 2-3 inning outings in a fireman role and then the team f***s you in arb because you don't have saves.

    Yeah. It would be crazy to be in a playoff series and still carrying around Winker and Paddack. Could be the difference maker. Boxy if you see this, release this man.
