    I don't see why media folks are acting like Clement might not make the team. Espinal optioned. Schneider 2B most days. Bench of: Jansen/Kirk Clement Biggio Vogelbach/Votto Seems very obviously to be the proper roster construction

    Especially given that he probably wouldn't be looked to for more than 300 PA or so as long as Turner is healthy and productive. Probably no starts against lefties, maybe limit his exposure to high-velo RHP too. I don't think it's a given that his skills have eroded to the point where he can't be a contributor in a very managed role. But also, it would just be so cool to have him around that I don't really care if it costs the team Daniel Vogelbach to give him a 1-2 month look.

    Apparently the Flames have a deal worked out to trade Markstrom to Detroit, but ownership isn't letting them because they want to push for the playoffs. That team is going nowhere unless they get sold.

    I smell a Manoah non-tender coming in the offseason. He's going to pitch like 40 innings with an ERA over 6 and then get shoulder surgery

    He’s actually a salaried employee of the forum. Him and Terminator are the only two people paid to post. They drive traffic, so it’s worth every penny even though Laika took a pretty big pay cut to make it happen.
