  1. lol, sorry. I was just looking at merrifield’s history and it caught me by surprise. To your credit, you flipped him for Alcantara.
  2. wat Feb 10 2021 Traded to Greenwood wOBA The Hutt trades away Whit Merrifield Greenwood trades away Bobby Witt Jr.
  3. Hopefully they cut rosters back down to 25 while they’re at it. A 5-man bench is silly
  4. Yeah, it's been a real problem for a few days now
  5. Seems pretty clear that if he doesn't sign this offseason he's not coming back
  6. Hendriks can (presumably) be IL'd. Keeping Bauer on your active dynasty roster for 2024 if he doesn't sign in the next couple weeks would be pathological
  7. This might actually be the dumbest argument in the history of this forum
  8. As a Hendricks enthusiast, very happy to report that he's spinning the curve better and more often today than I saw him do it all of last year.
  9. The tiny names on the jerseys look so goofy
  10. Just give Domingo German or Big Clev a couple mil to be the 5th starter. Manoah is cooked.

    Re-Draft League

Great, you should have an invite. We're all full now, unless jaysblue really wants to be replaced.
  12. I guess no front offices are convinced that Bellinger is now a metric breaking star going forward
  13. The argument isn't that the contact was luck, it's that outperforming statcast was luck.

    Re-Draft League

    Still need 2 for this
  17. Maybe that's it. I see an ageing team with the pitching and defense to reasonably give up the fewest runs in baseball. A Soto level bat is the single biggest need on the team IMO, and if you add that to the 2024 roster while subtracting nothing but Tiedemann I think they're up to like a 90-win projection which would have them as a clear top-5 team. If they make the deal, Soto has a 5+ win season, the team wins 90-something games and a playoff round or 3 before getting a comp pick, I think that's fine. Even if Tiedemann becomes Jesus Luzardo or something a few years from now. That's still not exactly a franchise-crippling price to have paid for a hell of a fun ride in 2024 with a team that might not look so good in 2025 or 2026.
  18. I just don't really value pitching prospects. Tiedemann has to both develop into one of the best 30 or so pitchers in baseball and stay on the field for most of the next 6-7 years to make you really regret moving him for Soto. Maybe both things happen. But I'm putting the probability at like < 10%
  19. Or, from a different POV: it's insanity that people didn't want to move a pitching prospect who averages 3 innings a start for one of the 2-3 best hitters in baseball + the comp pick they'd get if they were unable to extend him.
  20. Still can't believe there were people on this very forum who were unwilling to trade him for Juan Soto
  21. Yeah, it's a hamstring not elbow, shoulder or lat or something. No big deal.
  22. MLB has beclowned themselves
  23. Either closer or like 10 saves and 20 holds. It was a good pick
  24. He looked nasty that inning
  25. If German doesn't sign I might flip you a 5th for Hendricks
