  1. It definitely means they should return more than a 2nd round waiver pick though.
  2. They've become almost unreadable outside of a few authors. Tony Blengino embarrasses them on a weekly basis with his stupid 'tru ERA'.
  3. Commenter caught it. Author didn't even address it though.
  4. Yes. Unless they secretly know that Margot and Guerra suxxxxxxx
  5. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/did-the-red-sox-just-reset-the-market-for-relievers/ Fangraphs author compares price paid for Kimbrel last year to price paid for Kimbrel this year. Accounts for Kimbrel's salary in the Braves trade, but not in the Red Sox trade. Cliffs: the good folks at breaking blue > fangraphs
  6. Such an Oakland move.
  7. This. Romo would go top-5 in the waiver draft.
  8. A lot of posters have been weary of Sanchez for a couple of years now.
  9. Pretty happy about that. Didn't want him back, especially for two years.
  10. Nice. He would have got in the neighborhood of 15M total over his 2 arb years, so they're buying 4 free agent years for 60M.
  11. STFU North
  12. So is Refsnyder I think. He can hit. Hopefully someone gives him a chance to do it at 2B.
  13. Sergio Romo will be dealt for a pick before the cut down. I'm looking for a 2nd rounder. Guy just had 34 holds and 7 K/BB. Also, CC Sabathia.
  14. Sent you a PM. catsass: your box is stuffed
  15. Too pricey. I'm basically looking for someone's Kennedy or Chen.
  16. I could see it. They traded for Holliday and then extended him, and Freeman looks like a similarly safe bet to produce over the next 5-6 years. 1B is also their only real hole, and has been for awhile. Something around Reyes and a few lower end guys could make a lot of sense.
  17. If anyone has a starter to sell for a prospect and a reliever, let me know.
  18. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/john-coppolella-on-trading-andrelton-simmons-and-more/ John Coppolella might be dumn: “We feel there is an argument to be made that we may be better in 2016 with Erick Aybar because he’s one of the best hitting shortstops in baseball with a career .276 batting average. We finished 30th in baseball in runs in 2015 and 29th in 2014, so we need to find ways to improve our offense. Erick is a good step in that direction, but we need more. We also feel that both Sean Newcomb and Chris Ellis have a chance to impact our club at the Major League level in 2016, so they should also help us have a better season with a potential huge payoff in future years.” “The New York Mets reached the World Series this year and, with all due respect, they didn’t have an impact defensive shortstop. There is a value to defense, but sometimes you see such spectacular plays from some defensive masterminds that you forget about other deficiencies in their games.”
  19. 16.5 WPA over those three years. That's just silly.
  20. Eric Gagne was such a monster
  21. The odds that Colabello provides anywhere close to a 140 wRC+ are remote.
