  1. Jake is indeed MAD
  2. New lead prospect guy at fangraphs is getting killed in the comments for his braves org. rankings. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/evaluating-the-2016-prospects-atlanta-braves/
  3. My offense was never going to be great at OBP, but Gattis replacing Jaso or Mahtook should make me a bit better overall. Really hoping my flawed offense can finish close to the middle of the pack and let me compete for a playoff spot.
  4. He reminds me of Sanchez. Huge fastball, and minor league results that suggest he's tough to square up despite K-rates that don't jump out at you and some apparent issues with control. The Sox seem to think he has a chance to stick as a starter.
  5. I just acquired Dinger's Trumbo for Montas
  6. I imagine he'll be traded. Someone is going to give him extended playing time. He can hit.
  7. They don't seem to think Ref can handle 2B defensively.
  8. No chance Kennedy signs for less than 10, and probably not Happ or Colon. Bud Norris sucks.
  9. That's where the Indians found Kluber.
  10. The only similar guys were Hill and Young really. Who knows if they have any interest in coming.
  11. He threw 65 borderline elite innings. Most people wouldn't write that off as "a few good innings". He had a very good season.
  12. It's easy to forget about Pendleton. He really does change the entire dynamic of the team.
  13. spanky, jaysblue, and catsass should be all over this
  14. lol wat
  15. I don't know where his velo sat in AAA in 2014, but he was outstanding across 20-something starts. There's a considerable chance that Hendriks in the rotation = Chavez, though the team clearly doesn't think so and paid for the reduced risk.
  16. The thing that bothers me most about this is not knowing what Hendriks could have done in the rotation.
  17. IIRC he was suggesting something like going with 12 relievers and the criticisms were more about the logistics in the current climate.
  18. I don't get it. Why is he being treated differently than other coaches?
  19. Wat. Is he actually going to play next year?
  20. Remember when we all mocked greenwood for saying he was probably legit?
  21. Until he proved he was a borderline elite reliever. His method of acquisition doesn't effect his current value.
  22. I think if you polled the forum before tonight asking if they'd move Hendriks for Chavez the vast majority would say no. It could end well, but it's decidedly unsexy.
