  2. Wo, that's bananas
  3. They were able to trade Donaldson for assets and free up the cash for Billy Butler. Win-win.
  4. Probably all three.
  5. 3/45 is a no-brainer for Kuma.
  6. I doubt that's what he means.
  7. Career ERA = 3.66 Career xFIP = 3.65
  8. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2015/11/orioles-interested-in-yovani-gallardo.html He'd fit right in with Ubaldo, Tillman, and Gonzalez.
  9. lmao @ Hoffman over Syndergaard
  10. http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/a-baseballs-exit-velocity-is-five-parts-hitter-one-part-pitcher/ He might actually do a great job of manipulating contact.
  11. "I know I'm back as an established major league player. And I proved that last year." lol
  12. Yeah. I wouldn't be keen on 5/80 or whatever was discussed ITT, but Chen would really bolster the rotation.
  13. Speaking of Chen, August Fagerstrom wrote an article about him today: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/wei-yin-chen-and-the-art-of-changing-speeds/
  14. Has any team ever retained two into the regular season?
  15. Same. He's always been a favourite of mine.
  16. Fister looks finished. No reason to commit any money to him at all.
  17. I was going to ask when he hits the trade block in the LOD, but you don't even own him. I don't give you enough credit
  18. 93 last year, 88 in his career, projected by one system at 97. I think "below-average" was pretty fair.
  19. He's not even probably a 3-3.5 WAR player in 2016, let alone 2018.
  20. We're talking about Pillar as an asset entering his age-29 season. I'm not convinced 29-year old Pillar is going to be a +10 CF defender or baserunner.
  21. How many outfielders have maintained long-term success with below league average offense? Recently, I can think of Ellsbury and Bourn, who's legs went at 30. Pillar is a nice player, but he's 27 and it's hard to see him as a viable starter as he gets to 30+.
  22. I don't know what this means. I'm like the only person who doesn't really want to give Heyward $200+M. I feel like I'm pretty consistent in not wanting to rely on that skill set long-term. Re: Osuna, if he's moved to the rotation I'll consider him a building block, but I'm not convinced management thinks he can stay healthy as a starter.
  23. As a Mark Appel owner, I hope Boxy is able to look back at this and laugh one day.
