  1. Three people in s row responding to an obvious dogg account SMH.
  2. Calling his dog Clutch is the most egregious thing Colabello has done in the last few months.
  3. Looking over the draft board now, I'm surprised nobody took him before 216. Valid pick.
  4. I know he's been worse than expected, but you really shouldn't have drafted Shelby Miller.
  5. The irony of everyone pretending that this is a tragic career ender is that for this to be true, his career must have been close to over anyway. An 80-game suspension isn't ending the career of a player who actually belongs in the majors. The response from both him and the media has been absolutely pathetic and cringe-worthy.
  6. TCA has not inquired on Betances actually.
  7. He's probably been taking something for a long time now, and whatever he was using to mask didn't work this time for some reason.
  8. A couple of teams have asked on Betances. Anyone else want in before he gets moved?
  9. Yeah. This doesn't reflect poorly at all on Colabello as a person. He's 32 years old, and gave up getting an education as well as ~13 years of experience in the job market. Every week he was able to cling to an MLB job is about 20K in income, for a guy with very little in career earnings relatively speaking, and likely bleak job prospects after retiring from baseball. A lot of people passing judgment would have done everything they could to maximize the amount of time spent on an MLB roster.
  10. And a team built around old/expensive players. The good thing is that they didn't push this offseason, and chose instead to go with short-term contracts for Happ and Estrada.
  11. Tough to pull him out of the rotation right now. xFIP is right where you expect it to be, and he usually settles in nicely.
  12. Yeah. I mean, you (presumably) or I aren't going to test positive for synthetic testosterone. This is something you put into your body. When your livelihood depends on not taking illegal steroids, don't expect people to feel bad for you if you test positive for illegal steroids.
  13. Yeah, but it' Nolasco. The other shoe is going to drop.
  14. You don't accidentally take anabolic steroids. And he was a few weeks/months from being out of the league anyway, so this doesn't even matter. At least now he can blame this 'injustice' for washing out, instead of just washing out.
  15. Yeah, they're really milking this. It's embarrassing.
  16. I'm sure he was. But he was always a marginal player. Not many people would have expected him to last the season, even back March. The media needs to stop pretending that this matters to anyone but Colabello and his friends on the team.
  17. Not really. Until now he's been a serviceable 2-3 win starter, and he looked this bad at the start of last season. The last thing the team wants is to pay him $8M to provide serviceable innings for another team.
  18. He was a week or two from being DFA'd. The only reason we're still talking about this marginal player is because he happened to get caught using before the team cut him loose.
  19. It's Chris Colabello. Nobody is going to remember him. None of this matters.
  20. Barney has been a great addition so far.
  21. I believe you've also called him a league average player and projected that he'll have a 10-year MLB career.
