  1. You've likely been using IE to post here all day.
  2. So how many wins are the Sox going to let Avisail Garcia cost them? Coming up on 900 PA with them, and has never once been even replacement level.
  3. Weird. I see an add in Herpderp's signature area. But only text using IE on a computer. Not mobile.
  4. There was one on mine too earlier.
  5. He's not really not white
  6. Johnny Mac, Chris Colabello, JPA, Ryan Goins. If the casuals had their way all four would be on the level of excellence.
  7. Yeah. And some people also suggesting that umpires know who the top guys are and tend not to give them close calls, but I have no idea whether there's any truth to that.
  8. That's not what people are saying. A couple of years ago, it looked like the best framers could be worth 2-3 wins on framing alone, which probably isn't the case anymore.
  9. Over the life of the contract he has a chance to earn the 82M. Most of that will come from his 2014 though. It's scarier now that his framing edge isn't what we thought it was. I'm sure the team would give the contract away if they get a chance, but nobody would take it on.
  10. The numbers Gray puts up are what we all hope Stroman can do, pretty much across the board. They have the same skill sets, Gray has just realized his potential and Stro is still trying to figure it out.
  11. Sonny Gray is really good.
  12. Yes. But that's not Goins. He's like 40% below league average with the bat and not an elite defender.
  13. He's contributed -0.5 fWAR this year, and projections have him below replacement level. Exiting his prime years and has thus far accumulated a paltry 0.8 fWAR in 248 career games. Was the hive right, or can Ryan Goins stick? Discuss amongst yourselves.
  14. Objectively false.
  15. He has not been good. It's hard to see how this continues though. He's too good to pitch like this for much longer.
  16. Congrats... you've just stumbled on DIPS! His xFIP is over 4.
  17. What the f*** are you even arguing? He has an ERA over 4. He's pitching like a guy that should have an ERA over 4. Back rotation starters have ERAs over 4. He's pitched like a back rotation starter. I think we can all agree that he's better than this.
  18. He has a 4.37 ERA and 4.07 xFIP. Regardless of the spin you want to put on it, that's 4th starter category and not good enough from a guy who should be a clear #2.
  19. What the hell is up with Stroman? It's only five starts, but he's been a 4th or 5th starter caliber to far. He's too good for this to continue much longer.
  20. It's going to fun if the apparently completely improbable happens and a 33 year old catcher needs a DL stint and Thole becomes the every day guy.
  21. There's no way he pitches tonight. That would be unheard of.
