  1. Or if things get really bad, a Carlos Gomez.
  2. He hates Guerrero: The third-base experiment is likely to be short-lived, with first base the long-term end point for his defensive journey. He doesn’t have the arm or dexterity, let alone range, to be of much value anywhere else on the diamond. I think his power is for real, but the tightness and effort it takes to use it hurts more than helps against game pitching. It’s just too big of a leap for me to count on him turning into more than a 45 hit-tool guy, which isn’t enough to get his likely future value to a 40 or better. If everything breaks right, he could be a fringe starting option.
  3. I've been trying pretty hard to troll you, but everything just bounces off
  4. http://www.fangraphs.com/fantasy/felix-hernandez-is-not-right/ "If you are a Felix owner, he has done you all a great favor by not allowing a homer, posting just a .200 BABIP, and stranding over 80% of runners. All that good fortune has masked his poor pitching so far and given you a window with which to shop him. Surely someone in your league will stop at the 1.00 ERA, think all is fine, and be willing to give up a pretty good hitter, or even a comparable pitcher. How about Corey Kluber?"
  5. There is no remotely acceptable justification. He's not an MLB caliber player.
  6. He's been a tire fire not pitching in Colorado, which has been annoying.
  7. It will take years to determine what the correct choice was, friend.
  8. This is an odd time for you to be trash talking me bruh
  9. Mike Trout's Team will knock you down a peg next week. *if Mike Trout is actually still good at baseball
  10. I don't think we should assume that pitchers make more than equally talented hitters going forward because it worked out that way one offseason. If Reddick puts up a 4-win season he's going to get paid.
  11. I already admitted that I was probably high, but you've exaggerated in the opposite direction.
  12. The Pharm Team dies Gibbers. GD on the hot seat?
  13. That's silly. A "really great" season for him would be what, like 4-5 wins? If he does that, there's absolutely a chance he gets 100M entering his age-30 season. There's nothing available this year and we live in a world where Samardzija got 90, Chen got 80 and Kennedy got 70.
  14. You should get a co-manager. Missing Synder's start and several times starting scratched players while players who were playing were on your bench made things easier than they had to be.
  15. You should be able to get a very nice piece for him. 100+ strikeouts, a few saves, 20+ holds, and great ratios is a serious weapon.
  16. I wonder if Wright gets pulled from the rotation when Rodriguez is ready. He's been quite good in two starts against a monster offense.
  17. Isn't loss of command usually a sign (along with velo) that something is wrong physically? Felix isn't throwing the ball where he wants to at all right now. He has to be one of the biggest TJS risks in the league.
  18. He should help next year, but not likely much of a factor this season.
  19. Dinger suddenly looks vulnerable for the first time since season 1. An offense that boils down to old guys Bautista/Cabrera/Cano + questions and a pitching staff that's no longer fronted by the two-headed monster of Bum and Sale.
  20. I like this a lot for TRM. Felix sitting 90 makes him completely ineffective with that fast changeup as his out pitch.
  21. At the time I thought the Hendriks and Revere trades were pretty curious, and I wasn't getting worked up about a trade that didn't happen. I think there was a version of a Bruce/Saunders trade that made sense all things considered.
  22. Jay Bruce is actually off to a pretty nice start
  23. Zeke is serviceable in the sense that he's healthy and can do a better job than, say, you or I could if a team is in dire need of OF help with nobody in house who has s chance to be even replacement level. He's not a player you keep on an MLB roster though. You can find a Carrera on the scrap heap at will. I suspect he'll soon be discarded to said scrap heap, never to be heard from again.
