The perception is different if the incident happens while the player is on your team. If the Escobar incident happened somewhere else I don't think the team would have any second thoughts about employing him now if the opportunity presented itself.
When they call him "lead" prospect analyst don't they actually mean "only" prospect analyst? 30 lists with write-ups on pretty much every guy in the system is too much for one guy. What's he getting paid, like 30-40K a year?
So how many games does Odor get? You have to think that a (mostly) unprovoked clean right hook to the face is something MLB will want to discourage. Could be a long one.
Like two years ago I thought the window passed to get him on a cheap deal with team options. Something like buying out his last two arb years with options on his frst FA year or two would have been nice.
