  1. Dickey is having the same season he's had here the last three years. There's nothing sexy about it, but he'll finish the year with 215 innings with an ERA in the 3.75-4.25 range, which is worth 2-3 wins. He's not part of the problem.
  2. Jesus Christ, Bautista is a statue
  3. I haven't seen tire pumping this aggressive since ECJF fell for Randy Ruiz.
  4. That sack of s*** black hole can't get optioned soon enough.
  5. Second time in a few years our best reliever breaks just as he's hitting free agency. Him and Janssen are a nice reminder that extending these guys into free agency is generally a bad idea.
  6. Tolleson is a holds guy now. Want him?
  7. Adam Eaton is slashing 302/384/454 with 16 homers and a 132 wRC+ over the last calendar year. I wonder if I should trade him for Mark Appel.
  8. I'd say he has hits and RBI wrapped up, and everything else could easily flip in one day
  9. Confirmed. My first BORED trade.
  10. Have you identified any forum members as likely owners of a micropenis, aside from njh?
  11. Anybody want Junior Guerra for a pick upgrade? I need to move a starter before Saturday, and he's been useful: 12.1% whiff rate, and projected at a 3.98 ERA with almost 10 K/9.
  12. Fun fact: Someone (I forget who) just gave up a 1st round pick for this gas can in BBDL a few weeks ago. I think it might have been top-10.
  13. I don't think the Red Sox are set up all that well long-term either. The can outspend Toronto by probably $50M though, which helps.
  14. If anyone wants Tolleson for some reason, you can have him for close to free.
  15. But that flow tho
  16. Yeah, as things stand I think most people would put their money on neither being back. It looks like both players will finish with worse seasons than in 2015, there is already some dead money committed to Tulo and Martin, and Donaldson will soon require a big contract. Letting both walk seems like the correct choice right now.
  17. This team looks a lot like the over-the-hill teams we saw for years in Chicago, New York (both), Philly etc... before they realized that expensive vets in their mid 30s can't be the foundation of a perennially successful team, especially when you have a mid-tier payroll. That isn't to say that they can't hold off father time for one more season, but the struggling core players are old, and skill decline happens to everyone. I think that the regime change happened just in time. Doubling down on what happened last trade deadline would not have been wise. The supporting cast has been good enough to give the stars a chance to win, and to this point, the stars have looked their age.
  18. I really hope that Travis' return means I've seen the last of Ryan Goins on my TV.
  19. Boxy and some other guy with like 100 posts.
  20. Hurl's team isn't that bad and yours isn't that good. No reason to be embarrassed IMO.
