  1. Trade deadline is fast approaching, and I have a few pieces to sell off: Evan Gattis Howie Kendrick Luis Valbuena Jason Grilli Jim Johnson (closer) Kevin Siegrist Pick upgrades for the relievers and a SP for the bats would be ideal. I'd take on an injured starter.
  2. Team ERA is 3.76 with a 3.96 xFIP, which is a normal discrepancy. I buy Dickey (knuckleballer) and Estrada (elite changeup, high fastball that yields flies in the 'donut hole') as xFIP beaters, though not Estrada to the extent that he has. Two of probably fewer than 10 guys in the league I'd be comfortable making that claim for (Odorizzi, Wright, Ziegler, Clippard etc...). Would have said Keuchel last year too because of his defense, but contact has been harder against him this year. I haven't seen compelling evidence that Happ should be expected to beat his xFIP going forward.
  3. It's too bad for him that they're going with a 6-man rotation. Would be fun to see him get 33-34 starts and possibly get to 22-23 wins.
  4. He's in great shape and is impervious to age-related decline.
  5. I don't think there's a player you'd bank on being a consistent 40-HR guy.
  6. He's still a 40-HR bat who should return a high end SP2, and not one that might become that in a few years.
  7. That seems like a poor deal for the other guy.
  8. I will be very surprised if he out produces Britton at any point in the near future.
  9. Am I the only one who thinks the 2nd went the wrong way there?
  10. I'll stop when I've mocked you as many times as you mocked me for taking Trout between December and May.
  11. So Boxy hated the Myers pick, thought Harper should go before Trout, and took Byron Buxton in the top-80?
  12. Why did you do this to me?
  13. Prince Fielder was NOT a successful pick.
  14. I'd never lie to you. I'd love to turn down an offer from you. Feel free to make one.
  15. Alright, two deals from me then: to jaysblue: Roman Quinn to me: 2017 MiLB 3rd to Dinger: 2017 MiLB 4th to me: Mark Zagunis
  16. Cutting the next Youkilis would be pretty regrettable IMHO.
  17. I don't even know who I like better. Ideally I get something better than the 4th for Quinn.
  18. I have to re-acquire Mark Zagunis from Dinger before the end of the year.
  19. Anybody want Roman Quinn for a MiLB pick? I need to clear a spot. pros: slashing 297/370/420 in AA with 80-grade speed cons: has had injury issues
