I've never heard that about Votto. Thought after spending his career listening to Cincinnati fans, media, and teammates say he should stop being selfish and drive in more runs, he's entitled to a chip on his shoulder.

Has a player of Bautista's caliber ever had to wait until June? Off the top of my head, the only players to ever wait out the pick compensation are Stephen Drew and Kendrys Morales. Somebody is going to sign him.

Slashed 341/396/440 in the second half. Definitely better than Ellsbury. I should be asking for a 1st round pick given the Ellsbury return, but I'd let him go cheaper than that!

There's a decent chance Beliveau pitches a lot of games for Toronto this year. -
You don't think what's much of a question? He's a guy who battled with anxiety issues and who has a unique personality. Nobody is debating that. I don't think he's crazy, or that his personality really matters at all when it comes to his ability to perform or be part of a team. I remember countless debates about Greinke on the old forum when he was a free agent the first time, that probably sounded a lot like the conversations on other teams' forums. So many posts along the lines of 'nah, I wouldn't want that headcase pitching games in Yankee Stadium and Fenway'. You see posts like that all the time about so many players based on a story or two.
