  1. I'm starting to see the appeal a bit. I don't think it's that unlikely that he settles in at something like 250/315/450 with 20-30 ability from CF. It won't win you leagues, but it's a decent piece. I wouldn't pay what Jim paid, but I'd definitely buy.
  2. Here Jim: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/byron-buxton-is-playing-excellent-baseball/
  3. TJS for Trevor Rosenthal
  4. Looks like we need 4 new owners, and that there will likely be a dispersal draft. If you're interested in playing, please speak up.
  5. My LoD trolling just rolled off Orgfiller like butter. Kid is flashing 70-grade poise and maturity.
  6. I think if he refused to disavow King, and then we had a vote he would come in last place. I like King, but most DDL owners want no part of dealing with co-managers.
  7. Man all of these guys have their bona fides L54 - first place in BORED J4L19 - 3 straight division titles in LoD - playoff team in BORED Orgfiller - won BORED Orgfiller's LoD team is a perennial also-ran tho.
  8. I think as a forum we should vote to disband the BBDL. It is a cancer that has plagued this space for far too long.
  9. The three candidates (aside from P2F) last time were L54, Orgfiller, and jays4life19. We'd have to do a new vote if we're considering the same three, because they all finished pretty close, well behind the new Min.
  10. Can you even DH a SP in a 5-man rotation more than like 1-2 times a week? My understanding is a pitcher is basically exhausted and really sore the two days after a start, and you'd expect him to rest the day right before his start. It's really hard to see how this would work in a North American rotation.
  11. I don't see how any team can guarantee him that in good faith. Not only are his offensive skills still very questionable, but he'll be going from 6 days rest to 4 days. I can't imagine anyone would want him playing 1-2 days after a 100-pitch start.
  12. This is probably a moot point. The most he'll be allowed to do is pinch hit, and possibly hit without a DH sometimes if he joins an AL club.
  13. We've seen these types basically phased out of baseball in the last few years (CCC ). IMO the most likely outcome is he spends three seasons battling injury and struggling to get playing time, then disappears entirely when his contract expires after 2020.
  14. Tomas is the OF version of Pablo Sandoval. I don't think he'll ever get meaningful playing time again.
  15. IMO Schrock and Tomas are easy cuts, and Renfroe is probably a cut.
  16. Yes, I'm still offended at you offering me Renfroe and Tomas for Rodon.
  17. At least half of those assets have zero value. The others have almost zero value.
  18. Yeah, he done. Add another one to the scrap heap.
  19. f***ing captain-save-a-labias all up in dinger's grill
  20. Everybody check out the Tiger Woods nudes that dropped today?
  21. Stewart, Romero, Mountcastle, Long, Diaz, and Gimenez are all more interesting to me than Naylor. Especially Gimenez, Romero, and Mountcastle.
  22. I see Naylor as a non-prospect. He's fat, so you have to project him as like 120 wRC+ guy to think he's going to be useful, but he hasn't hit for any power. Fat guy with no power who stabbed a teammate in the hand and has a Billy Butler ceiling. Pass.
  23. I had Tatis ranked around 20th, behind Perez and Sanchez. That's looking unwise, though my two guys have been great.
