It's going to be very possible to leave this draft a legit title contender.
The Rays should be embarrassed. They're 1.5 games out of a playoff spot, and have let Honeywell rot in AAA while giving tons of innings to a bunch of gas cans, especially in the pen.
I think I'm more willing to give the benefit of the doubt to Molina than to Pedroia and Ortiz. With the hitters, the whole 'he's a winner' argument is not one I buy. I think the argument is a bit different for Molina - handling a pitching staff seems like a more concrete and observable quality than being a 'winner'.
6. Drunks - 33 games over 0.500
7. KingFiller - 3 games back of 6
8. JG34 - 5 games back of 6
9. spittin - 5 games back of 6
I think there's just one spot in play, with GD in 10th 12 games behind 9th.Matchup to watch is spittin vs. the Drunks.
He's been healthy, and very consistent even though he's not an elite hitter anymore. If he can continue to stay in the lineup, he has a chance to get up near 70 career fWAR, which probably gets him ingiven his importance to the T franchise.
We should clearly take the one with the more bleak romantic prospects. Anyone have headshots? They can't be too bleak though. We've also had bad luck with the savant rainman crowd getting poached by MLB teams and being too busy working 80-hour weeks to keep their teams.
