I actually voted against P2F’s proposal to add the second year of picks, out of the same concerns you have. I’m in a hockey sim league where we can trade 4 years of picks, and there are owners inheriting teams with almost no picks until 2024. It’s insane. I’ve enjoyed the flexibility of having the second year in LoD though. I think we’d have to put any change in BORED to a vote.

Well, I guess Hurl would be opposed. I don’t think it was 2021 picks available too soon that made them worthless, so much as the adjustment in league format pushing this last midseason draft so close to the new annual NPD, combined with covid wiping out the MiLB season.

Would anyone be opposed to making them available after this draft, then making 2023 available after the 2021 draft so we always have two years of picks available?

Yeah. When we decided on the rules we thought there would be 3 months of MiLB games between this draft and the winter one. Now there will be none, and it’s just going to be international kids and MLB international signings. Draft won’t even go three rounds.

There wasn’t really a way around it. 2020 picks has been traded and had to be used, and 2021 picks have to disappear in Fantrax before the season starts.

I'll ban myself if this gets into a Pol discussion, but it seems pretty clear that there's a sane interpretation and an insane interpretation: Sane: The coach is not a nazi, but accidentally held his arm in the position of a nazi salute, then laughed at the coincidence with Hendriks after it was pointed out to him . Insane: The coach is a nazi who decided to out himself to his co-workers with cameras running. Almost everyone in the twitter thread believes that he's a nazi who should be fired immediately. Social media was a mistake.
