OK, It turns out Ling can't even make his picks because his roster is illegal. I'm going to make cuts for people until midnight tonight. Spanky, let me know if you want Munoz cut and I'll do that.

OK, in that case commishes can just process the handful of non green flag guys that get taken.

FYI: I've temporarily increased roster size to 27. You can't add picks directly to your farm in the draft room, so the idea is that add them to your MLB roster, then immediately move them down to your farm. Commishes will do the second step if you draft someone without a green flag.

OK. Now that Greenwood is on board I've resumed again. We'll pause again if we get to 19 and Greenwood still needs time to clean his roster.

Sent you the invite. We're one pick in to the NPD, and your team needs roster maintenance. Rosters are supposed to be locked for adds/drops during the draft (because Fantrax forces it), but let commishes know what players you want to drop to clean your roster up for the draft, and we'll make the cuts. A few things you'll need to know: - The draft room likely won't let you make picks if you have players on the IL with no red flag. - Hitters with more than 1000 MLB PA or 50 (GS + 0.5 relief appearances) can't be on your farm until the draft is over. - This draft is very shallow, because it's our first year switching to the LoD format of a NPD early in the year. We've already picked over the MLB 2020 MLB draft in our last midseason prospect draft. - Any player owned by an MLB team and who has played 0 MLB games is eligible to be picked in this draft.

We are on Fantrax. The team that just quit is OK. Not championship caliber, and heavily reliant on veterans like Stras, Ozuna, Kluber, Calhoun. They do have Story and Bichette. Pretty ideal rebuilding situation if you're into selling 30+ YO vets and assembling your own young core.

Good trade. FTD would be understandably apprehensive about having so much value tied up in a pitcher while rebuilding, and Laika cashes in chips for the best pitcher in baseball as he’s about to contend.

I’ve paused the draft. If Ling shows up he can make his pick and we can continue to MAD’s first pick at 19, at which point we’ll pause again until his team has a new owner.

He hasn't indicated otherwise, but also hasn't made any transactions in Fantrax this offseason. L54, can you reach out to him?

We’ve only had one pick. Only issue is that a handful of owners didn’t prepare their rosters. Hoping in most cases it was a calculated punting of this draft and not just negligence.

Nope. There are a few teams that won't be able to draft.

OK, so trades are reflected in the draft room immediately. So teams without roster space can clear room that way.

Is anyone around to test out a trade with me? I want to move Bellinger to the IL, acquire a player for nothing, see if it reflects in the draft room, then trade the player back to you.

Yeah, commishes will step in because there was nothing to be done about that. You were legal at the start of the draft. Commishes won't be doing drops for teams that had non red-flags in IL slots at the beginning of the draft.

I dropped Lauer because he exceeded 50 starts and shouldn't have been on the farm.

I'm not sure what DDL is doing, so I don't really know what you mean. I can see commish intervention if a guy loses his DL spot mid-draft and it causes problems.

Nevermind, I just tried to test it out making a non-commish add and was told I could neither make claims nor drops once the draft has started. Sorry Spanky, but everyone had ample warning. Hoisted by your own petard.

If you can make a drop, do it. I hope you're able to. Nothing is greyed out or anything, as TCA says.

I keep trying to talk myself into offering Wander Franco for Bieber in... a league. Bieber's numbers are just silly in a K/BB league and he basically carries a pitching staff if you're careful about who else you're running out there.

There's no reason to do to that. Ideally teams wouldn't be able to draft if they have guys on the IL without red flags, just like the can't make other roster moves.

Regular adds and lineup changes are blocked if you have someone on your IL with no red flag. Would be surprised if you can draft.

One thing that isn't clear is that the draft room will let you make adds if you have someone with no red flag on your IL. As it shouldn't.
