  1. Sent the invite.
  2. Awesome. Same e-mail you use for Fantrax?
  3. Damn, seems like it would be an ideal speed and level for you IMO. It's actually better now. Spanky, TCA and Jim are all in.
  4. I still need one person. Draft is Thursday at 8 PM ET.
  5. Are you guys even going to make it?
  6. Two recent returns for Mike Trout in forum leagues: Albies Olson Buehler Paddack Devin Williams Bieber Bichette I think that puts into perspective how crazy it would be to pass on Trout and take Vlad. Nobody would currently move anything close to those packages for Vlad.
  7. If you're going full Jays homer, is there even a reason to consider Vladdy over Bichette? Bo is only a year older, has outhit Vlad in the majors, and is going to stick at short (probably). Vlad has already lost 3B eligibility, and might never get it back.
  8. That's absurd. I took Brett Lawrie in the 2nd round of the initial DDL draft, so I'm an authority on team-crippling fantasy homerism and you should listen to me.
  9. I just do it myself. Fantrax has not been reliable in applying the tiebreak rules. Pretty sure it messed DDL seeding last year despite the rules being selected properly, and you ended up inputting the matchups manually.
  10. It's seemed obvious for awhile now that he shouldn't be pitching. He's a 5-tool OF who probably provides 4-5 WAR and possibly more if left to play RF every day. Edit: Just saw his two oppo bombs today. Dude has insane power.
  11. Schedule is in. 21-week regular season with week 1 running for 11 days. 3 weeks of playoffs, and playoffs end before the last week of the MLB regular season. Every team plays each other once, and two randomly selected teams twice.
  12. I don’t even know what to make of that trade
  13. I think you can add Scherzer to that top group with Verlander and Kershaw. He should be a lock. Greinke has a very good chance too. After that, Cole might be on track if he stays healthy. Bum might be out if he’s actually cooked. Numbers aren’t quite there, and he has a prickly personality
  14. Like Org said above, I don't know that he has to keep it up much longer. I think it would be enough to put up another CY or CY caliber season, then a couple of 3-5 win seasons. A 10-year stretch as the best pitcher in baseball over that period, with 50-fWAR, 2-3 CYs, and a sub-3 ERA probably does the trick. It will help if he can play a big role in a WS win (probably won't happen) and avoid bad association of being an albatross to his team on a rich multi-year deal later in his career.
  15. So if DeGrom wins another CY this year, does that punch his ticket to Cooperstown? Would probably be looking at like 41 fWAR, 3 CYs, and like a career 2.5 ERA through age 33.
  16. It's a legit loss in LoD
  17. Came here to post this. We don’t have to worry about Nick Markakis riding 3000 hits to the HoF anymore. Full attention to the Starlin Castro 3000 hit watch.
  18. How many teams make the playoffs?
  19. What are the current rule differences between DDL and BORED? - 15-man farms in BORED, 14 in DDL - BORED will very likely be abolishing the farm mandatory promotion thresholds Seems like the draft will be be very similar, and hopefully identical. Anything else?
  20. Yeah, that's an option. We could expand to 30 or something for the draft, then immediately cut back to 26 when it's over. I don't even know that we'd need a formal 'cut down by' date, because the draft will end during spring training, and people typically want to make roster moves during that period, and won't want to be frozen out of transactions by an illegal roster.
  21. I did not find it to be less work, but my perception is that a majority want to use it. The advantage, once the kinks are ironed out, is that it should move faster (if people are using queues) and takes the onus off of us to e-mail the next person up. The obvious disadvantage is the lack flexibility (see Carlos Danger's grievance, for example). I'm open to doing it either way, but I don't want to be processing drops for people mid draft again if we use the draft room.
  22. Proposed rules for the 2022 NPD, open for comment: 1. Once the draft starts, Fantrax will not permit owners to make adds or drops. Owners must therefore make all necessary cuts prior to the start of the draft. Commishes will not process cut requests – if you don’t have room on your roster, you won’t be able to draft. 2. Rosters will be expanded to 27 for the duration of the draft. This is because Fantrax does not allow players to be drafted directly to minor league rosters. Owners are expected to draft players and move them immediately down to their minor league roster. If eligible drafted players do not have green flags, commishes will move the player down. 3. Windows will be 6 hours long. Owners are encouraged to rank players in the draft room so that their picks are made automatically when their turn comes. If an owner’s window expires and they still have not made their pick when their next turn comes, their turn will be skipped. 4. Skipped picks can be made up at any time, but can not be made in the draft room. Pick instructions can be provided to commishes, who will make the add. 5. Owners can select players with MLB experience in the draft, in addition to affiliated players with no MLB experience. 6. There will no longer be any thresholds after which players have to be promoted from farms.
  23. Am I just R'd? DDL and LoD have a system log option under 'League History' under the 'Other' menu and it's not there for BORED.
  24. BORED doesn't even have a system log
