  1. Anyway, for everyone who isn't going to wade through the last several pages, I'd like to move one or more of Belt/Syndergaard/1st for an SP2 type with multiple good years remaining.
  2. No, he's a part-time Melky Cabrera if you're unlucky and he gets traded. To be fair, I didn't set out to trash CarGo in this thread. I commented on Yelich/CarGo after Dinger mentioned that he traded Yelich + for CarGo in another league, and then defended my opinion last night when Boxy mocked me.
  3. You could just trade him to me and let me worry about regression!
  4. Holliday was a much better hitter than Gonzalez is though. True talent 140 wRC+ guy when he left Coors. He maintained that after leaving, with obviously a much smaller wOBA. Cargo will still be good if he leaves, you'd just expect him to produce like a Melky Cabrera who plays 115 games a year. Solid, but not elite.
  5. North should get in on this since his boy Kemp is basically CarGo with better health and a worse home park.
  6. I used wOBA because wRC+ is a silly way to look at the effect Coors has had on his performance. Though now that I check, his 101 road wRC+ is legitimately bizarre. Anyway, the point is that his value is tied to Coors, and it really isn't debateable.
  7. It shouldn't have. A one-season split like that is pretty meaningless. He has a 0.324 wOBA on the road in his career, and has a career 121 wRC+. Steamer has him at 120 and ZiPS 116. That's worse than Billy Butler and Brandon Belt. He's good, but he loses a ton of value outside Coors. And that's beside the fact that he's probably going to play less than 75% of the schedule in a given season.
  8. Maybe, but betting on his health from 29 onward when he's averaged less than 120 games per year since breaking into the league is probably not a good idea. And so much of his value is tied to Coors. He's a 115-120 wRC+ guy. Good, but not outstanding. I dunno, I just don't trust him long-term.
  9. I wouldn't. Yelich is a borderline top-50 player in our format this year at 22, and I expect him to grow into more power. He's really, really good and has 6 years and health on CarGo. I don't think Gonzalez is going to age gracefully.
  10. CarGo post aside, those are pretty week. Dig deeper. Also, Yelich is so studly.
  11. Ouch. He might just be finished as a good reliever. It really is a shame they didn't sell.
  12. Finish the job and find pre- and post- average velo plz. Thx
  13. It would be interesting to see his velo pre- and post-flu. Because he's at 89 on the season now, but he might actually be sitting 87 or 88 right now.
  14. I think I predicted 78. Definitely looks possible now.
  15. At his current level, a reasonable salary is like 600K + a bonus or two. Velo down to 89 and he's not fooling anybody.
  16. Is this the BBDL thread? Silvergun slumming it in the gutters.
  17. I see what you're doing here, and I don't like it.
  18. So after trading Salazar for Belt before the season... I might be looking to move Belt for a starter again. He's had two freak injuries this year (hit in the hand, and hit in the mellon), but both Steamer and ZiPS have him as a 125+ wRC+ guy, and he's just 26 years old. I'm looking for a pretty good young starter here.
  19. Yeah, Valencia is good at a few things that could make him useful. He can be Lind's platoon partner at DH/1B, and he can be part of a 3B platoon if Lawrie plays 2B or gets injured, and he can play 1B. A competent team can probably squeeze a win out of him if he's used properly.
  20. Felix and Kuma combining for like 12 wins this year goes a loooong way, especially with Young having one of the luckiest seasons ever.
  21. Sheeeeit, GD throwing down the hammer.
  22. It's sad because I'm pretty sure they were friends IRL before a falling out over fantasy baseball.
