    It's sad that was the best he could come up with. He is dumb plain and simple. I would love to see AA just say f*** it and demote him to AAA to send this team a message that they need to shut their mouths and just start playing. When your playing well below expectations, its time to shut your f***ing mouth and fix it.

    I would expect Gibby to bench him for at least a game, but who knows. Gibby really needs to take charge here and show this team that he is boss and start giving more playing time to Thole. JPA just does not belong here.

    Cool, thanks. So I am guessing he might be back right after the ASB then? I can't see them wanting to rush him considering how good the pen is right now.

    When is Santos expected back? Its great that our pen is absolutely stacked right now, but AA needs to flip one or two guys for some other value this team can use, or get some solid prospects.

    Yup. JPA clearly is reluctant to change his approach and his comments in the past indicate this. I am just tired of this s***. We have enough good bats to keep us in games (Reyes, JB, EE, Lind, Rasmus, maybe even Lawrie if he gets his s*** together), there is no reason to keep JPA here. We need a fundamentally sound catcher who can catch, block and throw the ball, not some arrogant douche who is hurting this team more than I think most people realize. I really think if we went with an all glove C and 2B, which likely would cost peanuts, this team probably has a winning record right now.

    This is the more logical approach. I am sure many of us would like to see McGowan start over some of the guys who have been given a chance, but realistically if this team wants to have a chance next season, the best thing right now would be to stick with what is working for McGowan. Let him build his confidence, get a decent amount of relief innings under his belt and then go from there. He could also be an option for a late inning role next season if AA decides to deal Janssen to save some $$ and acquire other movable assets.

    I bet if everyone in baseball gave up taking walks and only swung for the fences, slugging would go up and JPA would be below average in that regard as well. #JPASUCKSSHITBALLS

    Hopefully this is the final straw for the organization and they dump this piece of s***. I hope the players dump on him for this. I hope Melky takes it personally. I hope Verlander hits JPA today and no one runs out of the dugout to back JPA up. That would be sweet justice.

    I say Bautista. He will get all riled up from a borderline strike call from the ump and then next pitch Verlander will hit him. Bautista will then start mouthing off and get tossed. He wont charge the mound however, cause Verlander would squash him and he knows it.

    I suggested this earlier tonight. It would make sense to try. At least give him 2 innings and if he gets through it efficiently then try for 3.

    If that is the case then have Mcgowan piggy back his start for a couple innings and lets start getting him stretched out.

    It would be nice if they could stretch him out to start. When Santos returns this BP glut is going to get even more cluttered.
