  1. This is one of those series the Jays have to sweep, anything less would be unacceptable. This Twins team looks like s***.
  2. The good thing is he still probably has decent value, might not be as high as it was but he should still be a significant trading chip. This time next year he might be worthless, I think its time to move him. Utley wouldn't be my first choice since he is really old, but it he could do wonders for this team. Solidify the D and give this team another credible bat and provide like .100 points higher in OBP than what we have got thus far from 2B. That would greatly help this team to contend next season.
  3. Gose probably is going to be a major bust anyways.
  4. There is no point in trading Santos. Move one of our higher valued relievers and then once he is done rehabbing call him up. If he ever stays healthy his value will increase quite a bit.
  5. Peavy makes a ton of sense and with our lineup and pen would give us a chance to win every time he starts.
  6. Now we have to get him.
  7. That is basically part two of what I said. Setting up the team for next year. We all know JJ is as good as gone.
  8. Change Rasmus to Gose and I think you got the framework for a deal.
  9. I was never a big fan of Gose. I think he could be valuable still, but if AA could flip him for a player that could please the fanbase for this season (ie. keep ticket sales up) and set this team up for next season (extension needed), then Gose is good as gone. I think Rasmus has secured his spot in CF for 2014.
  10. They probably want to sell the idea to the fans that they haven't given up on the season and help keep ticket sales up all the while setting this team up for next season.
  11. If this even happened an extension would have to come with it I would think. I am sure AA realizes this team isn't really going to make it this year, but getting Garza on an extension would make a lot of sense. Would give this team a shot in the arm and maybe get them to a respectable finish and set them up for a possible contending year next season. The guy has been pretty durable throughout his career except for his injury last season so that's a plus I guess.
  12. I could really see AA doing this. Probably would move someone like Gose as the main piece and keep Rasmus.
  13. LOL this is getting ridiculous. They just need to play ball and shut the f*** up. Can't this organization get some control over the players?
  14. No I highly doubt it.
  15. Even take it a step further, they are 16-9 over the past 25, that's .640 baseball. That being said, they probably need win 15 of the next 20 to be taken seriously for the WC.
  16. He almost certainly has to stay unless moving him results in a significant upgrade at 2B which I just don't see happening. Right now the potential contending core for 2014 should be Rasmus, Bautista, EE, Reyes, Lawrie and Melky. That is good enough to contend if AA can get strong defenders at 2B and C. If he can get guys with a bat as well that is a bonus, but I don't think its critical. This team would be above .500 right now if we had glove first guys at 2B and C. This is all assuming Melky can run again otherwise we would need a LF as well and he probably falls to DH.
  17. This needs to be tweeted to JP.
  18. This team is so hard to watch. I don't even care if they win anymore.
