    Went down a few years ago. We rented a car down there to get around, just made our life much easier. I would suggest going down mid march or later if you want to see more big league players. If you can try to catch games in other stadiums. I saw two home games and one road game in the Braves complex, was much nicer to be quite honest.

    Why would they? Rogers owns the stadium.

    Merchandise sales revenue is shared across the board. You also are not incorporating any added costs with increased ticket sales and those costs would be significant. Also to add to that, Rogers heavily underpriced the TV contract. While it's obvious it is worth more, from a strictly Jays operational standpoint it is not.

    If that is the price Jiminez has fallen too then perhaps AA has no money left, because that is a steal.

    The o's are somewhat of an enigma. When they do spend it seems it's fairly ridiculous.

    Don't get me wrong, he is a good young player to lock up, I'm just not sure I would have gone that far to lock him up.

    Freeman is good, but I wouldn't call him a franchise player.

    Capuano is a solid back end guy, not sure I feel the same way about Saunders.

    Opinions vary drastically on the matter in some cases. I don't dispute that it can be devastating in some cases, but it isn't as big of an issue in the early years, especially when monitored and treated appropriately. It does have an impact, no doubt about it, but I'm not so sure we can attribute every or even most injuries without further research.

    Money can change that in a hurry. Capuano is a nice option that gets heavily overlooked. He should come super cheap at this point. I would be happy with Drew and Capuano to be quite honest.

    The diabetes angle gets blown out of proportion in my opinion. It does impact injuries and recovery time, but so few athletes suffer from this condition to begin with that opinions can easily be skewed. Proper diet, conditioning and lifestyle can go a long way towards minimizing or even in some cases almost eliminating the effects of diabetes.

    Exactly. That is why I preferred to go after a more proven guy in Ubaldo. He may not be what most want but at least we would know what we are getting for the price that is paid. Contracts in MLB right now are such huge gambles and more and more often we are seeing these larger gambles turn out disastrous. Paying a guy like Ubaldo 50-60M is not going to cripple the franchise. Tanaka on the other hand would have a hard time living up to that $25M per season deal and more likely than not probably doesn't.

    Who cares. He could end up being elite, a bust, or anything in between. You never know with a guy who never pitched in the bigs.

    It's a huge issue for athletes, but people are more aware of how to manage it these days. While Morrow will likely be able to live a long healthy life before the diabetes becomes a serious issue, he will always likely struggle as an athlete. He is likely just asking too much of his body and it's breaking down more frequently as a result.

    This season will likely determine if he continues on the path to being a starter or if he gets moved to the pen.

    Ubaldo and Drew. 2B is a more pressing need than the bench.

    He wouldn't be as good as Burnett, but would at least give us a better option to start the season than what we currently have. Not sure it would be enough though, unless AA addresses 2B or the platoon with Lind.
