  3. It's a good thing he was safe at third. If he'd been thrown out it would have humiliating. Even though LA likely still wins the game.
  4. Puig celebrating like he hit a home run before he saw the ball wasn't getting out RBI Triple
  5. My God there a ton of hot women at that ballpark tonight
  6. Demonstration of quality pitch framing right there #SteadyHands
  7. As long as vet players have at least a year and a half of control left and not just half a season, it seems like you can get pretty good value for them. You sometimes also end up trading to a team who is a bit desperate - on the playoff bubble and a key player is injured.
  8. Yankees To Rest Pitching Mound After 8 Innings Of CC Sabathia SPORTS NEWS IN BRIEF • Sports • Baseball • Baseball • ISSUE 48•21 • May 20, 2012 NEW YORK— Yankees manager Joe Girardi announced at a press conference Tuesday his plans to give the pitching mound a few days of rest to fully recover from enduring eight grueling innings of hurler CC Sabathia. "A long outing of Sabathia really put a strain on the mound, and the last thing we want to do is risk permanent damage," said Girardi, adding that the pitching mound was iced down to prevent swelling. "The mound has been a valuable asset this year, and we have a huge investment at stake. But it's a long season and we are definitely concerned that is was so worn down after one start by CC. From here on out the mound will be limited to a strict pitcher count." While Girardi said he hopes it won't be long before the pitching mound is back out on the field, he maintained that the unfortunate situation provides an opportunity for dirt from the bullpen to get a few starts.
  9. Sooo. We really really did trade our two best prospects for RAD didn't we?
  10. It's gonna be a STL BOS World Series. How nauseating.
  11. Though the "great" thing about Romero is you can pass him through waivers at will
  12. Or the pen. Some of those guys (McGowan and Romero for sure) have no options left.
  13. Man, Scherzer must be steamed after pitching so well and watching the BP lose the game.
  14. Have you seen the play? He almost killed Torii Hunter while he was at it.
  15. Total bullpen failure and David Ortiz clutch grand slam. It was unbelievable.
  16. I can't believe the Tigers blew this game F'n Red Sox If the Tigers manage to lose game 3 they're done
  17. Victorino breaks up the no hitter That's fine. I just want a humiliating victory, with the despondent Red Sox headed to Detroit knowing they have to face Verlander in game 3, already down 2 games to 0.
