  1. You guys think Chapman can cut it as a top starter if they move him to the rotation??
  2. Depends a lot on how many PA's they give him too, of course It won't be as many as Gibby gave him in 2013 that's for sure
  3. Going to try and listen if I can, but it is well described on Twitter @StivBators Worth a look
  4. I guess every ball got through (Joking aside, we are skewed by how bad Melky, JPA and Bonifacio were. We had several plus defenders last year) Edit: Oh, and we're not the only team with some bad defenders.
  5. Obvs not. MacDonald, Buck, Hill, Escobar, Rasmus, Lawrie, et al have helped cover up for them and those like them in mean stats. (P.S. I know you were kidding)
  6. I was surprised how much I liked that movie. Good point.
  7. Terrible casting except for Eastwood. Justin Timberlake should never get a movie part again.
  8. RG*: You're old school. You don't even have a cellphone, right? PB*: Well, I've got one, but people don't have the number.
  9. http://www.thestar.com/sports/blue_jays_baseball_blog/2014/02/blue_jays__president_paul_beeston_unplugged__griffin.html?app=noRedirect Very long Have flipped though it. Some interesting. Some fluff. Some derp.
  10. Don't you even... Hahahahah. I soooo think/hope this isn't true.
  11. That's EXACTLY what I want them to do. But not sure it happens.
  12. I can't believe you showed up here just to post this We get it. He can't hit. It's time to move on. To Ryan Goins. LOL
  13. OMG I had to look at that picture three times before I realized that actually is Gregg Zaun. LOL and yuck.
  14. 10 days to trade him. I will concede that as a 24th man on an NL team he might have some utility. But I don't imagine a team wants to give up something in trade AND pay him 3.5M.

Hosting a big party tomorrow, can't wait Lots o' beer, chicken wings, ribs (smoked all afternoon), oysters, dips, etc... I built a whole area of the new house just for entertaining for this sort of thing. 800 square feet of party space and two big screens. Gotta make use of it! Go Broncos!!
  17. LOL. made a mockery of the endless reports that this team is "likely" to sign players. Mild trolling is mild
  18. Borderline bannable suggestion But I know what you mean. They are both flawed players.
  19. MULTIPLE industry experts suggest that the Toronto Blue Jays are interested in adding players. Specifically, they are interested in free agent players as well as players who are known or not known to be available via trade. Blue Jays GM Alex Anthopoulos was asked about these players and confirmed (between bites of chicken souvalki with tzaziki) that they ARE in fact interested in adding players. "Say player X ... munch munch... was willing to play for us at a cost that we found acceptable then we'd look at adding that player... burp... I'm not normally that specific but there you have it" Ben Nicholson Smith, of Sportsnet.ca generated 87 articles on all available and non-available players and elegantly proved that some are worth getting and some aren't. Statitical gobbledigook in said articles generated a solid laugh in the Jays front office. Blue Jays President Paul Beeston was asked about this analytic process but said he never looks at anything on sportsnet.ca because he's too busy working on his new combover and polishing his walking stick collection. "Look" he told reporters "we like players. We like player X and even player Y even though I don't even like the letter Y. It all comes down to price. And how many vacations I can take per year. And the cost of gold. I am confident that if we go to ownership and ask for 100, 200 thousand dollars that they will be 100% on board with Alex and will get him that money." When asked a second time about the amount of money he just mentioned he responded "did I say that out loud? Get out. My massage therapists are here" Gregg Zaun suggests that "if the Blue Jays want to contend" they should sign players X, Y, Z, XX, YY, ZZ and player DyIx = IxDy, though he admitted that he didn't know what that last thing meant. "This team is a joke full of silly jokesters and they need to improve at every position in order to get out of the basement". "Sign 'em all, why the f*** not?" he said while tweeting out date requests to his 3 remaining female followers". As of now the Blue Jays are "Having dialog" and "calling agents" and "testing the waters" and "getting a feel" and "INSERT PLATITUDE HERE" but have yet to make a single offer to a single player. But there's lots of time, like maybe 18 days, so we'll see how it all works out.
  20. Royals Designate Emilio Bonifacio For Assignment By*Charlie Wilmoth*[February 1 at 10:57am CST] The Royals have designated infielder*Emilio Bonifacio*for assignment, according to a team release. The move clears space on the Royals' roster for*Bruce Chen. Bonifacio, who will be 29 in April, hit .243/.295/.331 in 461 plate appearances divided between the Royals and Blue Jays in 2013. In mid-January, the Royals*agreed*to a one-year, $3.5MM deal with him to avoid arbitration, so it comes as a surprise that they would designate him for assignment two weeks later. Chen's $3MM salary essentially replaces Bonifacio's $3.5MM, and arbitration contracts are not guaranteed, so the decision to designate Bonifacio may have been a matter of making room for Chen in the Royals' budget. The Royals could well trade Bonifacio in the next ten days.*Pedro Ciriaco*could pick up playing time as a utility infielder in Bonifacio's place.
  21. Apparently what you do is offer to pay him 3.5M and then suddenly change your mind and try to get rid of him. LOL
