  1. And the A's would probably turn him into a 5 war guy and pawn him off for massive return at the deadline.
  2. $19 seems horribly high for Belt the more I look at it, but I guess it all depends on who else he can get. It's better than sitting with $19 left over at the end...
  3. The problem is the small data set. Narrowing the focus further makes it even worse.
  4. Belt might be iffy then if next year's cost is $19 (or did you already add next year's inflation into the costs?)
  5. Desmond, Craig (amazing value there), Carp, Belt, and Lee imo. My projections like Venable, but I'm not sure I'd do it. (does the keeper add $5 / year, or just once to designate?)
  6. It seems like pitchers in the past were more of the David Wells breed - show up in spring training after not touching a ball for 4 or 5 months, throw nine or ten innings, and you're good to go. Many pitchers today seem to throw (at least periodically) most of the off-season in between their constant high intensity workouts. I have to wonder if they simply aren't giving their arms enough time to recover and heal from the previous season.
  7. There was nothing significant. For some God unknown reason Stanton managed to drop to JFaS at 17 (like he needs the help), Wilko made a few odd selections (although they seemed to be pre-ranked there by him so I guess they were the players he wanted), and Ang kept picking owned prospects and had to be smacked. Overall it actually went nice and smooth I thought.
  8. It could be worse ... it could be Jack Z running the team. They seem to think poor defenders are a market inefficiency in Seattle these days.
  9. Sanchez needs to save the houdini acts for the regular season!
  10. This is an officiating gong show.
  11. What the hell ever happened to home court advantage?
  12. No reason to give the Rays extra looks at him. We play them 18 times during the season as it is.
  13. A few more outings like that and he might develop RR syndrome. As long as all the pitchers get in the needed work, doesn't really matter if he's in the big league camp or not though. The extra time with the players is probably worth while in case he gets called up during the season anyhow.
  14. Maybe a good thing this one isn't televised. That's a cringe worthy stating lineup, and looks like the results to match.

I'm not thrilled as a St. Louis fantasy owner either.
  16. Interesting. For anyone wondering, it's free to audit it online.
  17. Yeah, he shouldn't be yapping at all. Still, it does make one wonder about our clubhouse culture as there has been those whispers in the past.
  18. Yeah, the counts aren't necessary (although I don't care one way or the other). A quick summary after each batter is great though!
  19. Why do I think of this when I think of Lind and his beard ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnyEiXFyK10
  20. I know it's spring training and early, but it's awesome to see Melky, Lawrie, and Lind swinging the bat well so far.
  21. Interesting that apparently he was only supposed to go 3, but Walker requested he go back out for a 4th in which he went 1,2,3. I wonder if they identified something?
