There was nothing significant. For some God unknown reason Stanton managed to drop to JFaS at 17 (like he needs the help), Wilko made a few odd selections (although they seemed to be pre-ranked there by him so I guess they were the players he wanted), and Ang kept picking owned prospects and had to be smacked. Overall it actually went nice and smooth I thought.

No reason to give the Rays extra looks at him. We play them 18 times during the season as it is.

A few more outings like that and he might develop RR syndrome. As long as all the pitchers get in the needed work, doesn't really matter if he's in the big league camp or not though. The extra time with the players is probably worth while in case he gets called up during the season anyhow.

I know it's spring training and early, but it's awesome to see Melky, Lawrie, and Lind swinging the bat well so far.

Interesting that apparently he was only supposed to go 3, but Walker requested he go back out for a 4th in which he went 1,2,3. I wonder if they identified something?

There was a lot of talk about JV being exhausted earlier (probably from also playing summer ball). I think they're making sure they get him rested before the playoffs, and will probably ramp up his minutes the last few games.

AA is usually pretty careful what he says in the media. Saying this specifically (along with Gibby's comments) makes me think that maybe the reports about Santana coming here if no one beat the price within 24 hours or whatever may have been correct, and he or his agent changed their minds. The Jays may have had another trade lined up with that in mind.

Morrow was probably just working on a tweak to his mechanics or something, and was focused on locking that in rather than trying to be nasty to the kids. At least I hope that's what it was.
