  1. Last I saw was he MIGHT be back in September, but there wouldn't be enough time to stretch him out as a starter. He'd be returning out of the pen if he does.
  2. Looking at the replay, he might have. Probably would have bounced off the top of the wall. Who knows which direction the bounce would have gone.
  3. I was totally expecting Carrera to drop that over the fence. Great catch though!
  4. I suspect he will be really soon. He's on a 14 game hit streak (23 hits in 59 at-bats), the majority of that coming at AAA. He seems to have sorted himself out.
  5. He started to walk off the base, then realized he was still being tagged, was off balance at that point, and fell.
  6. Carrera shouldn't have gotten hung up in the first place at third. Either you stay near the bag or you force the play at the plate.
  7. They did, then Carrera had a brain fart and decided to walk off the base while he was still being tagged.
  8. Kawasaki Jr. http://www.hlntv.com/article/2015/07/24/japanese-high-school-baseball-player-amazing-bat-routine
  9. I don't mind giving up some mid level prospects for a mid level rental (someone like an Iwakuma probably), but I definitely don't want to see us give up a Norris or Hoffman for a rental.
  10. Getting runs off Rodney as always just a little bit sweeter. That crooked hat really annoys me.
  11. The first thing that came to my mind was, "who is Cartman's dad?"
  12. I don't see an issue with it if you have the ball (which Donaldson did)
  13. Ouch! Talk about getting spiked, but no signs of damage.
  14. Are you implying there's some mental disorders he DOESN'T suffer from?
  15. I'd still like to get Iwakuma in addition to someone else. Shouldn't be too expensive prospect or money wise.
  16. Depends what we give up. I wouldn't be too happy if we gave up someone like Hoffman for Cashner, but Ross is a different story.
  17. There's a big difference between 4 guaranteed cheap years and a 7 to 10 year high value contract.
  18. No reason for them to. Picking up the phone and telling teams he might be available would get almost every team instantly involved. Media not required (and would also prevent the home fans from rioting). Regardless, this seems like the kind of fit the Dodgers would be dreaming of, and they have the position prospects the Indians are dreaming of.
  19. Rumblings he might be available, and the rest is just media speculation on what teams would be most interested and have the trade chips to land him.
  20. Take a deep breath, call in the cleaning crew, and remember that if you're hearing it in the media it probably isn't true. AA doesn't like leaks.
  21. I don't have a problem giving up guys like Norris or Hoffman if we're getting a high end pitcher with several years of control. Giving up either of those guys for a two month rental would be absolutely retarded though.
  22. I wonder what the fine is to the managers if they're tossed? If nothing/very low, they should all try to get tossed for charity
  23. I'd say it's just age related, but he might actually be improving as he gets older. Which is scary.
  24. At least he didn't dive, miss the ball, and take Pillar out for the season.
  25. Well, 6 in 4 innings seems to have gotten Yimi demoted in spite of his 2.85 xFIP, and Liberatore has been at about a 4 xFIP over the past 2 months I believe, which given the increasing walk rate is believable. He'll be part of the future, but may not be ready just yet. Howell is pretty solid, but he DOES have a 3.76 xFIP. Nicasio seems extremely average at best, along with command issues. There's plenty of room for improvement, and like I said, the revolving reliever door seems to suggest they think so also, which is the most important part. There is definitely a fit for the Dodgers to add some relief help imo. I doubt the Phillies would add prospects to get Puig, and upgrades are upgrades for the Dodgers. We'll see what eventually happens.
