  1. So apparently we went from putting up with bad umps to having the pleasure of seeing bad refs again ...
  2. Heyward scares me a bit, so much of his value is tied up in his legs. When those start to go, he's probably a 2-3 WAR player. I feel like someone is really gonna regret the back end of his contract.
  3. Seems pretty even. Not sure what the point was, unless someone was short at one of the positions.
  4. Probably not that high from the playoff run. I'd have to think we'll see a payroll bump though.
  5. Yeah, this was a fantastic year. I have no complaints (except for the ump/mlb/announcer bias in the playoffs) And happy birthday!
  6. Someone should seriously organize a gay pride parade outside that group's church. And yes, it's both hard to believe there are people like that, as well as hard to believe that laws actually allow them to openly spread hate like that. Sometimes freedom of speech goes too far.
  7. The Jays really should have had some fun with that, and passed out a bunch of white shirts to fans in that section when the controversy happened.
  8. Browsers only do that if there is something dangerous on the site (like a script that installs malware on your computer). DO NOT keep trying to go to a site if you're being warned that it's dangerous!!!
  9. No idea what Gibby is thinking on it, but Volquez has thrown a lot of high quality off-speed stuff this year. Probably not a good matchup for Smoak atm.
  10. I've been to Thailand, Hong Kong (before the changeover), and Japan. It was when I was fairly young through, so my memory is a little foggy of a lot of it. Thailand was really different. The traffic (and especially taxi drivers) are insane. Ours was going up to 140 kph in fairly dense traffic (actually caught a little air once or twice). Scared the crap out of us. I remember seeing one of the "touristy" things with crocodile shows, and performers sticking their heads in their mouths. Apparently every once in a while, it doesn't end so well, but no one lost any body parts when we were there. The other thing I remember was the pollution. If you spit, it was literally black. Hong Kong was pretty cool. Very modern (cutting edge even) and clean. Even cheap accommodations were almost luxury compared to here. Got to ride one of the trains and see a bunch of the countryside. Really enjoyed it there. Dunno if it's as nice now. I don't remember much about Japan, other than how crowded and expensive it was.
  11. This shows some of the various ratings: https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/eh-game/blue-jays-continue-to-set-records-for-sportsnet-024554485.html
  12. I agree that babies shouldn't be at major sporting events. There's nothing positive they can possibly get out of the experience imo, meaning only negative things can happen. Get a babysitter, and enjoy the game worry free. Better for the baby, better for the parents. I'm not saying that because of idiots throwing things either, I'd say it regardless.
  13. What a shot!
  14. I looked for that, but wasn't able to find anything. I'm curious too.
  15. He could have given Price 2 or 3 innings in the final game or something. If Price had gotten injured though, then everyone really would have been screaming. There probably wasn't a right answer.
  16. Syndergaard broke d'Arnaud's glove
  17. I think at this point, you have to go with Price. If you're gonna lose, don't do it with your ace on the bench.
  18. Thor hitting 101 mph in the first.
  19. We go there when the board here becomes excruciating.
  20. lmao. Gotta love giving everyone the ability to edit stuff.
  21. Yeah, I can't move Halak back into my lineup with Anton Forsberg not having it (and I really don't want to drop anyone). Fortunately, Halak won't be in the lineup tonight anyway by the looks of it.
  22. Probably will be for a while yet. I really wish Fantrax wasn't so freaking visually ugly, and we could just move there.
  23. Apparently the Yahoo issues were caused by them changing stats suppliers right before the first game of the season (unconfirmed).
  24. Wish we had had that strike zone in our game.
